Sarah McGrath shared thisAs a self-proclaimed Spotify super-user (ask me how many hours of music/podcasts I listened to in 2025), I now have an entirely separate appreciation for the company as someone who spends a huge part of their day-to-day thinking about how to tell stories with data. It was a great surprise to log in to my account this week and discover a curated playlist of my top songs of all time — plus a disco ball icon update for the app and a hub of associated reporting on their 20th anniversary (https://lnkd.in/eETurfXE). When it comes to data storytelling, Spotify gets an A+ in my book! Curious what other examples come to mind of companies who get it right?

Sarah McGrath reposted thisSarah McGrath reposted thisIf your company still runs like it did 10 years ago, you’ve got a problem. Back then, the rules were simple: Show up. Get the degree. Climb the ladder. Stay put. That version of work has changed. Today, it's all about dynamic, non-linear career paths shaped by skills and adaptability. And it plays out in the data, too: 💡 ~60% of applications now go to remote or hybrid roles 💡 Only 41% of professionals say a degree is necessary 💡 Workers today will hold 2x more jobs over their careers compared to a decade ago After 10 years of analyzing Top Companies, it’s clear that employers are adapting: hiring for experience and capabilities over credentials alone, investing in internal mobility and rethinking employees’ skills and flexibility for the long haul. So what makes a Top Company in 2026? The ones that aren’t holding on to how work used to be — but building for how professionals want to work now. Sarah McGrath reposted thisSarah McGrath reposted this'26 is looking like a tough job market: Steady but stagnant is probably the best way to put it. There are opportunities and growth, but it's uneven, with only certain sectors and roles growing. I was on the Today Show this morning unveiling our annual Jobs on the Rise list, which is designed to help everyone understand where the market is going — in good times and bad. Here’s what job seekers should know this year: 1️⃣ The AI boom is extending beyond technical roles. Artificial Intelligence Engineers rank #1 on nearly every global list. Go deeper into JoTR and you start seeing how AI is growing roles in strategy, opps, real estate and planning: from hands-on roles like Datacenter Technicians and Prompt Engineers, to leadership titles like Directors of Artificial Intelligence and AI Strategists. We’re also seeing AI move deeper into fields like finance and hiring – a signal that AI skills are quickly becoming foundational. 2️⃣ More people are betting on themselves. For the first time, Founders and Entrepreneurs appear on our list, with “founder” titles up 69% in the U.S. over the last year (and nearly 3x since 2022). In a stagnant market, more professionals are choosing to build instead of wait. 3️⃣ Growth-driving roles stay resilient. Sales and revenue jobs show up on half of the lists, from Advertising Sales Specialists to Chief Sales Officers. When companies are under pressure, roles tied directly to growth and ROI continue to matter. The big takeaway: Opportunity hasn’t disappeared, but it’s shifting fast. The people best positioned for what’s next are staying curious, building new skills and open to change. Check out the full list here: https://lnkd.in/dt8cdskk #JobsOnTheRise

Sarah McGrath shared thisLast week, we launched our ninth-annual (and my second-annual 🙂) Top Startups list campaign, and it's one of my favorite projects each year. What other company ranking could have an AI search engine (Perplexity) and healthier mac and cheese (GOODLES) on the same list?! Like with all our lists, the ranking is based entirely on our own LinkedIn data evaluating different elements of growth and demand. You can check out the full U.S. list here: https://lnkd.in/USTopStartups25. Something that stuck out to me from digging into the data this year was the specificity of the solutions these companies are pioneering. Especially today, when access to information, tools and technology is at an all-time high, it was a reminder that a focused approach to a specific problem or process is sometimes the most successful. Thank you to the team that makes these campaigns possible — and makes them fun, too 🎉 Juliette (Faraut) Bell Ashley (Peterson) Botarelli Siobhan Morrin Alejandra Budar Melissa Torres Katherine O'HaraLinkedIn Top Startups 2025: The 50 U.S. companies on the riseLinkedIn Top Startups 2025: The 50 U.S. companies on the riseLinkedIn News

Sarah McGrath reposted thisSarah McGrath reposted thisThis college dorm food favorite just landed on LinkedIn’s 2025 Top Startups list. GOODLES secured its spot by doing what great startups do best: finding opportunity in the obvious. Its founders took the nostalgic staple of boxed mac and cheese and rebuilt it for today’s wellness generation — more protein, more fiber and buzzy branding. That spirit of innovation is what defines this year’s list of Top Startups. Our data-backed methodology surfaces the emerging companies that are growing quickly and attracting top talent, all while proving that rapid scale doesn’t always require total reinvention. From RYZE's superfood coffee to David protein bars, these founders’ ingenuity allowed them to spot what’s timeless and engineer it for how we live now. Sarah McGrath shared thisComing off an exciting week of launching our first-ever college ranking — surfacing the U.S. colleges that best set their graduates up for long-term career success. This list is the result of months of thoughtful work with Caroline Liongosari, Sharat Raghavan, Ashley (Peterson) Botarelli, Juliette Faraut, Gianna Prudente, McKinley Strother on how to best measure alumni outcomes with our own LinkedIn data. 🎓 You can see the full U.S. list here: https://lnkd.in/TopColleges25. As part of the campaign, we asked people to share their best advice for college students, so here’s mine: Shoot your shot. The summer before my senior year at Northwestern University Medill School, I spent some time doing any college student’s dream summer activity: parsing through my school’s alumni database and cold emailing people who I thought had interesting jobs. One of those emails went to Juliette Faraut — and about a year after our informal coffee chat, a role opened on her team that ended up becoming mine. I could have never imagined that firing off those emails would lead me to Linkedin News and to all of the interesting, motivated people I feel lucky to work with every day. But that's the best part: I had nothing to lose and everything to gain from just one email. Sarah McGrath posted thisWhat matters most to you when it comes to career growth? The answer to that question is different for every professional (in fact, you can see some of my teammates' answers in this video: https://lnkd.in/ghGqrfNG!). For some, it might be internal mobility and a clear path to promotions; for others, ample opportunities to learn new skills might be the top priority. Our annual list of Top Companies uses LinkedIn data to tell that story for members, ranking the best workplaces for long-term career growth based on eight elements of career progression. It's our biggest launch of the year, and I love seeing the excitement from featured companies and their employees about their recognition. Sarah McGrath reposted thisSarah McGrath reposted thisIt’s a tough job market out there. Competition is stiff, more than half of U.S. workers plan to look for a new gig in 2025, and AI is quickly changing how we do our jobs. To help people upskill and adapt, we just released our first Skills on the Rise list in 8 markets — looking at the fastest-growing skills that people should invest in and companies are hiring for. Top takeaways… 🤖 No surprise here, Artificial Intelligence is showing up strong. Being able to understand and work with AI is moving from a “nice to have” to a “must have” at work. This doesn’t mean you need to be a coder — it’s figuring out how to use tools like CoPilot or ChatGPT in your day to day job. 👥…yet human skills are more important than ever. Things like Conflict Mitigation, Adaptability, Public Speaking and Innovative Thinking will continue to be necessary for navigating change and working well with others. I joined our friends at The TODAY Show (https://lnkd.in/gS-S-aR2) this morning to work on #6 (Public Speaking) this morning! If you want to brush up on the skills you already have or learn new ones, we’ve unlocked free LinkedIn Learning courses for every skill on our list for the next month. Be sure you’re adding them to your LinkedIn profile and resume — and most importantly, come prepared to talk about how you put these skills into practice in your next interview. Instead, calling out FUN / core memories that made these first two years so good that when people ask “how’s work?” I genuinely say, “awesome.” These in-between (and after) work moments are why: 🎨 A Ferris Bueller’s Day Off photo in the art gallery with my faves 🍻 Parking lot beers meetup with the OG #1 BD chief, best boss/friend, and dopest teammate 🌙 Middle-of-the-road pictures in the dead of night w/ the best in Sunnyvale (so around 10pm) 🕶️ Asking if my blinking Meta glasses were distracting on a Teams call while in the middle of real real chat w/ my homies 🧀 Late-night bar hopping + pizza + nachos with the my NYC first round draft picks 📸 Photo booth moments with top notch creators, teammates, and partners 😴 Eye masks on the plane with my work bestie. Yes, I voluntarily sat middle seat so we could be next to each other. 🎾 A padel networking event w/ all-around all-star where we said we’d start playing every week and have not played since ⛴️ A $9 NY Waterway “partner boat cruise” with the one and only 👯♀️ My kids visiting the office and, aside from loving the Empire State Bldg, being most impressed by the ping pong table, free food + hot chocolate 🏀 Spending the entire offsite budget on a Knicks game because it’s criminal to have teammates fly across the world and not go to MSG. AHHHHhhhhhh go Knicks. 📹 First viral LinkedIn video with my #1 vibes co-producer 🎵 Field trip to visit very cool partners and their very cool office 🪩 Team dance parties at Joyface, a place that very much lives up to its name Grateful for the PEOPLE that made these 2 years fly. Sarah McGrath liked thisSarah McGrath liked thisHello, LinkedIn! 👋 Back in the 1960s, I made a choice that changed my life: I left college to chase a dream of becoming the number 1 tennis player in the world. It wasn't easy, but I knew in my gut that if I were going to make a difference in this world, it was the path I had to take. Decades later, I went back to finish what I started - I have graduated from Cal State LA. My degree is in history, and that's no accident. I believe with my whole heart that knowing your history is one of the biggest keys to success. You can't see where you're going, if you don't understand where you've been. The people who came before us, like some of my heroes and sheroes (Althea Gibson, Senator Birch Bayh, Suzanne Lenglen, Coretta Scott King, and Alice Marble, just to name a few), shaped the ground we stand on today. So this is me saying hello, and also saying thank you to every teacher, mentor, family member, and friend who reminded me that learning never has an expiration date. My name is Billie Jean King, I'm 82 years old, I'm a recent college graduate, and I'm just getting started! #PressureIsAPrivilege #KnowYourHistory #keeplearning #lifelonglearner

Sarah McGrath liked thisSarah McGrath liked thisOne of my favorite things about traveling the world is simply walking through cities. It’s one of the best ways to truly experience a place, the energy, the people, and all the little moments you’d otherwise miss. Recently, I took a walk through Central Park with Shelby Wagers from our Creator Team in NYC. Between the trees and the joggers, we talked about something I’ve been reflecting on a lot lately: why I love my job. The answer is simple. What we do at Expedia Group is about so much more than booking flights and hotels. We help people create memories they’ll carry with them forever: family reunions, first trips abroad, honeymoons, bucket-list adventures, or taking that solo trip they’ve always talked about. At the end of the day, our purpose is simple: to help people explore the world, one journey at a time. And one of the parts I value most is getting to connect with amazing people across our company and with our partners who are passionate about creating those experiences for travelers every single day. Stay tuned for more walks, more conversations, and more of the people and places that bring this to life.

Sarah McGrath reacted on thisSarah McGrath reacted on thisI did a thing last week and had the opportunity to speak at the Latinas in Tech Summit 2026 about agents and agentic workflows. The response from la comunidad has been incredible. I’ve received so many thoughtful messages about the presentation, but especially about the slide where I compared agentic workflows to making tamales during the holidays with family 😅🫔 It was such a pleasure to help demystify technical concepts and make them feel relatable, familiar, and accessible. Spaces like these remind me how powerful storytelling can be and how much stronger our community becomes when we share our knowledge, experiences, and perspectives with one another.

Budget pressure? Uncertain pipeline? Fewer resources? You’re not alone, but you don’t have to hit pause. We recently read a roundup from Content Marketing Institute featuring 17+ strategies for navigating tight budgets, shifting priorities and evolving buyer behavior. Have a Plan A, B and C ready to roll. At DeanHouston, this is already how we help technical brands stay sharp, especially when conditions are murky. Social media listening software helps brands monitor, analyze, and respond to online conversations across platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and forums. These tools extract insights about brand perception, customer sentiment, competitor mentions, and industry trends. They're crucial for PR teams, marketers, and customer experience managers to make data-informed decisions, handle crises, and boost engagement. This chart compares the domain rankings (lower values = higher traffic/authority) of leading social media listening platforms over time. It reflects how each brand’s online visibility has evolved, which often correlates with adoption trends, SEO strength, and product relevance. Top Performers (Consistent Visibility) Brandwatch: Maintained a very high domain rank from 2017–2023, hovering within the top ~1,000 domains globally — exceptional visibility. However, there's a sharp decline in late 2023, likely due to changes in corporate branding, M&A (e.g., merger with Cision), or domain consolidation impacting traffic. BuzzSumo: Strong performance until ~2022, after which a gradual decline is seen. Known for content and influencer discovery, the tool was widely adopted for content strategy. Market competition and possible SEO shifts explain its slow descent. Notified: Steady and consistent climb until 2023, then plateaus. Focused on PR, media monitoring, and event solutions, Notified benefits from an enterprise client base and integrated offerings. Improving or Stable Players Sendible: Shows consistent improvement post-2019. Its growth reflects increased demand for social scheduling tools with integrated listening. Likely benefiting from SEO-driven growth and popularity among small agencies. Planoly: Moderate and stable rank throughout, specializing in Instagram-first scheduling and analytics. A niche yet loyal user base keeps its visibility consistent, though it hasn't scaled drastically. Statusbrew: Maintained decent visibility, with small surges post-2022. Their pivot to customer care + reputation management may be driving better engagement and domain traffic. Volatile or Declining Tools Mentionlytics: Significant volatility, with deep drops and recoveries multiple times. May suggest inconsistent SEO, site migrations, or fluctuating ad spending. Facelift: Also displays unstable ranking with deep valleys between 2018–2022. Could indicate a regional focus (Europe) or backend domain changes affecting visibility. Final Takeaways 1. Brandwatch and Notified dominated due to enterprise focus and deep platform capabilities. 2. BuzzSumo and Sendible illustrate how content and social scheduling tools can rise with strong SEO and loyal user bases. 3. Volatility in some tools suggests the importance of consistent digital marketing, content production, and possibly domain management strategy.

Is your content working for you, or are you just working for your content? Traditional assets like e-books and one-size-fits-all courses are quickly becoming relics. They're static, non-interactive, and fail to deliver the personalized experiences modern audiences demand. 🕰️ The game has changed. The evolution is clear: we've moved from simply *creating* content to *co-creating with AI*, and now, to deploying intelligent **AI Assets**. These aren't just documents; they are dynamic, interactive systems that work for your business 24/7, engaging every user with a uniquely tailored experience. Imagine "talking books" that answer questions in real time, personalized corporate training that adapts to each learner's pace, or a learning management system (LMS) that grows with your company. By collaborating with AI as a creative partner, leaders can brainstorm ideas, refine their brand voice, and deploy powerful assets that were once unimaginable. 💡 Stop building static resources that collect digital dust. It's time to build systems that learn, adapt, and scale. Start building your AI today and scale it as you grow. With AI evolving at record speed, search behavior shifting, and data regulations tightening, 2026 is pushing marketers to rethink how they plan, create, and connect. Here are the four major trends shaping the year ahead: 🔍 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗘𝗢 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗘𝗢 Search is no longer just Google. Users are asking questions directly to LLMs like ChatGPT and Gemini. Authority, credibility, and content that clearly answers real user questions will determine who gets cited by AI, making high-quality, expert content more important than ever. 🎨 𝗔𝗜-𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 AI tools now create graphics, copy, and even ad variations automatically. While this boosts efficiency, it also raises the stakes for brand consistency. In 2026, the winning formula is AI for scale, humans for identity. 📱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗜𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 People now search on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn as much as traditional engines, trusting real experiences over polished ads. Brands must embrace UGC, creator partnerships, reviews, and community-building to stay discoverable. 🔐 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗗𝗣𝗥 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 Automatic data collection is over. Users must have clear, meaningful choices about what they share, and those choices have to be respected. Privacy-first web design is becoming a must, not a nice-to-have.

Audience behavior is changing fast—and your content strategy needs to keep up. At Propelrr, we revisit the Content Consumption Cycle to help brands build content that doesn’t just get seen—it gets remembered, acted on, and shared. Here’s how we approach it: ✅ Discovery — We optimize for searchability and relevance, placing content where your audience actually looks. In B2B marketing, complexity is often unavoidable, but confusion rarely needs to be. The most effective content strategies are built on clear editorial decisions: what truly matters to the audience, how information is structured, and how ideas are guided from first impression to understanding. This short framework outlines five principles we use at Contentim to help B2B teams communicate complex topics with clarity, relevance, and intent — without diluting the depth of their message or overwhelming the reader.

"Language is power. Use it wisely.” - MLPCOM This simple phrase speaks to the influence language holds. This is especially important in marketing, where every word shapes perception. When we support a marketing campaign, we do more than translate words; we translate its meaning and emotion to a global audience. 🗺️ Translation helps get your message across. Localization helps it feel right. Take slogans, taglines, and clever wordplay. They often rely on cultural references, tone, or humor that may not carry over directly. A pun that works beautifully in one language might need a creative reimagining in another to keep the heart of your message alive. And the impact is real. 📊 A study by CSA Research found that 65% of non-native English speakers prefer content in their native language, even if they’re fluent in English. And 73% want product reviews in their own language. That’s the power of making people feel seen and understood in their language and in their context. By wisely choosing your words, you exert the power they hold and shape your audience’s perception of your message. Great localization is thoughtful. It adapts language, visuals, tone, and even timing to create content that feels natural, relevant, and human. In the end, it’s not just about crossing borders. It’s about making your message feel at home wherever it lands. ✈️ #MarketingLocalization #BrandVisibility #SpanishLocalization #CanadianFrenchLocalization #mlpcom

Content syndication sits at the top and middle of the B2B funnel, helping brands reach decision-makers during the research phase when intent is forming but choices aren’t made yet. Here’s how it supports the funnel: • Top of Funnel (Awareness) Expands reach by distributing valuable content across trusted industry platforms, introducing your brand to the right audience. • Middle of Funnel (Consideration) Educates prospects with in-depth assets like whitepapers, reports, and guides building credibility and trust. • Sales Enablement Delivers informed, high-intent leads to sales teams, making conversations more relevant and productive. Algorithms change. But how often does your content strategy? Conversations around LinkedIn engagement are growing and for good reason. For senior marketers, this isn’t just noise. It affects reach, brand authority, audience understanding, and the ability to respond strategically in a changing landscape. That’s why Nathan Jun Poekert shares how marketing teams can pivot strategically. It’s not about chasing old numbers. It’s about testing, adjusting, and creating a curve that moves engagement and impact forward ☄️ You don’t figure that out by guessing. You figure it out by leaning on data. Analytics and social listening do more than show what content resonates. They reveal emerging conversations, anticipate trends before they go mainstream, and spotlight opportunities your competitors may be missing. By tracking both industry chatter and competitor performance, you can create the sweet spot for differentiated content that positions your brand as a leader and drives the conversation instead of following it. Use the framework to guide your next move on LinkedIn ↓
