    GeekGirl World

Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jessica Yu’s Misconception offers another take on the question of over population, a fresh look at forces that really drive both familial and environmental destruction, and allows the viewer the opportunity to delve in to one of the most poignant questions for modern humanity: What is the value of one human life? • Red planet beckons

    Seattle Times: NEXT

Mars is rising. The Red Planet will be closer than ever to the Earth, closer than it has been in recorded history. From early times, Mars has been known as the fiery planet because it is red. • The struggles and triumphs of Seattle's indie film scene

    Seattle Times: NEXT

Lights! Camera! Action! These three words — evoking power and excitement — are rarely shouted out on an actual film production set, but they are the cliché call to begin a take of a scene. In a similar fashion, the film industry exerts a powerful and glamorous attraction that draws multitudes of young people into the business. We go to school, we volunteer for "production assistant" positions to get that proverbial foot in the door, and we all try to fit into this ever-evolving scene.
