The first ever comprehensive resource on managing confined spaces in the construction industry. While there are many publications available related to confined space entry, they tend to focus on fixed, general industry spaces. This book was designed to address the confined spaces that can be found on many typical construction sites. The ones that probably haven't been identified or classified yet because they didn't exist when the project started. The ones that get constructed without consideration of what work remains that needs to be done inside. The ones that many people in the construction industry do not recognize as confined spaces. Construction managers and safety professionals will both find this a useful resource in working towards the improvement of safety, quality and productivity on the job-site.

Three Major Qualities of a Successful Task-analysis Approach
ProCore
See publicationFor decades, studies have shown tangible links between safety, quality, and productivity, yet the industry has only recently begun to embrace the concept that we cannot neglect one of these without having a negative impact on the others. If you want to stand out from the competition, you have to learn how to balance all three, and with an increasingly competitive landscape, the way we are (trying) to balance them now is not good enough.

Caliente Construction was chosen as the General Contractor for the project and my role is serve them and CAP as the safety manager during construction operations at each of the plants. These CAP sites are part of the OSHA VPP program and the construction contract mandated a dedicated safety manager to conduct weekly assessments related to the ongoing construction projects and the interaction with existing plant operations and other projects that are proceeding during each plant's scheduled shut down period.
