T-Mobile and NATE just signed a major agreement that directly impacts tower contractors and crews on the ground. Highlights: * Site-specific and regional pricing replaces the one-size-fits-all matrix * 6% rate increase until new RFPs are finalized by end of year * "Scope to Quote" tool launches by Sept 1 to define job-specific SOWs * 30-day pay terms with 50% upfront billing at job start * Relief from Avetta, Ariba, and PaymodeX fees for small businesses * Crackdown on 1099/undocumented labor—reporting and enforcement tools coming * Limits on tiered subs and a move away from "Super GC" and turf vendor models These changes didn’t come easy—NATE pushed hard to get them. "According to the report, real prices for 100–940 Mbps connections — the most popular offerings — dropped 6% last year and are down 43.6% in real terms since 2014. The steepest drops were in the 100–249 Mbps tier, with a 17.2% real-term drop in one year and a 39.6% drop over two years. More from the Connected Minnesota event--this time regarding how to allocate the left over funds from BEAD (Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Program), that was not given to broadband operators! Apparently New Mexico has a state led ACP (Affordable Connectivity Program) initiative, so that people who are economically challenged can have the same access to suitable broadband. This helps adoption so every citizen can be fully apart of the American economy and better enjoy their leisure time. It helps people building fiber justify builds for operators because of increasing take rates for residential customers. Overall seems like a win for everyone involved! Would the leftover funds from BEAD be best served re-creating the ACP on a state level? Or are there any other ideas? #BEAD #ACP #Fiber #internet

Comcast made $6.7 billion in broadband revenue last quarter. Their average customer pays $92/month for 500Mbps. We deliver 1Gbps for $44. This isn't a pricing war — it's exposing a 40-year shakedown. Here's what telecom monopolies don't want you to understand: the actual cost to deliver 1Gbps fiber to a home is $0.03–$0.06/month in bandwidth. The rest is shareholder extraction, lobbying budgets ($320M spent by ISPs in 2025 alone), and non-compete territory agreements that carve up American neighborhoods like feudal estates. 73 million Americans live in areas with zero or one broadband option. That's not a market — that's a hostage situation. Big telecom abandoned rural communities because the ROI didn't hit quarterly targets. Meanwhile they took $42.5 billion in federal subsidies since 1996 — and still didn't build. QEGDAO exists because we believe internet infrastructure should be community-owned, not corporate-extracted. What if the strongest brand position in the interconnect ecosystem is simply being the name that never appears in a crisis meeting? Many companies share the same big-name components and operate in overlapping markets. Datasheets look similar, and brochures list similar capabilities. What customers remember is which systems stayed up, which projects shipped on time, and which suppliers were almost invisible in the process. Assemblies that behave the same on day one and day one thousand do not generate dramatic stories. They quietly support the performance promises made by the more visible brands above them. That kind of consistency is not an accident; it is the result of a lot of careful, repeatable work. In a crowded field, being reliably unremarkable during incidents is powerful. It turns “just another supplier” into the one that is hard to replace, precisely because nothing ever seems to go wrong. I can also break it into shorter LinkedIn-style paragraphs for better readability.
