What a pleasure to be back on NYSE Live discussing the evolving role of cloud security. Much of the conversation today is still centered on prevention. How do we stop attackers from getting in? But the recent LiteLLM-related breach highlights what’s missing from that thinking. A widely used middleware layer was compromised, exposing sensitive access pathways across enterprise environments. The issue was a failure to control how systems communicate once deployed. As AI adoption accelerates, these interconnected systems are becoming more privileged and exposed. This is why foundational network security matters again. Governing which systems can communicate with and where data can go ultimately limits impact. I’ve been urging executives to take a hard look at their cloud network posture through this lens. Because more of these incidents are coming, and they will move faster than most organizations are prepared for. Thanks again to NYSE Live for the opportunity to voice this on your platform.
