Mike Troiano shared thisHigh-quality content that no one's paying attention to isn't worth the bits it's written on. That's the trap of the AI content era. Everyone got really good at producing, and forgot that production was never the bottleneck. Attention was. Attention is. Start spending more time as a student of attention, even if it means a little less as a student of AI. https://lnkd.in/ediZwwqu

Mike Troiano shared this"It's way bigger than just search." Brandlight CEO Imri onstage with his customer Jeff Long, the head of Digital at Kimberly-Clark. Great stuff.Mike Troiano shared this"It's way BIGGER than just search." That was our main message yesterday, when Jeff Long and I stood on the Association of National Advertisers Brand Masters stage yesterday, to speak about the work Kimberly Clark and Brandlight have been doing for the past year. K-C understood early on that it’s not about just GEO / AEO anymore. They saw the reality that AI Visibility now runs through the entire organization and affects everything. Content, PR, SEO, Social, Commerce, Paid, Brand, and Legal. I got to see their amazing progress during the 12 months of working on this together. In this short period of time: - 12 of 12 K-C brands now rank Top 3 in their categories in AI visibility. - They built an entire Brand Discovery team. They didn't just "give it to search." - They monitored over 600K queries on almost every AI engine in every market. - And rebuilt every retailer surface to be cited: schema, copy, ratings and reviews. K-C now ranked #1 in the 2026 AI Platform Visibility Rankings by ecommert, with a score of 94/A, ahead of Unilever, Kraft Heinz, Coca-Cola, and Pepsi. And I'm sure this is only the beginning. P.S. We've been building something big for the market in the last few months. More soon.

Mike Troiano liked thisMike Troiano liked thisYesterday at WHOOP's HQ we celebrated the wins of the first 100 days of the Massachusetts AI Coalition as part of Boston Tech Week. In a remarkably short time, 9 task forces made up almost entirely of volunteers, have been assembled with the goal to keep people in Boston, help founders start and scale a company in MA, amplify wins and connect talent. There’s plenty of momentum already underway. If you’re looking to contribute, consider joining a task force or sponsoring. And if you want to take advantage of the coalition's offerings, below are a few initiatives that have already launched: -Founder starter pack - free GPU and cloud credit, free co-working space, peer cohorts, intros to founders - all within 7 days -A live scoreboard of $1B+ companies in town so job seekers have a central place to find unicorns (https://lnkd.in/e8uTRK6n) -Customer pilot programs- 2 sided program connecting MA founders to buyers -The angel pledge - a network of angels publicly committed to deploying at least $50k of capital each to MA founders over 5 years -Operator led AI training sessions to upskill talent -Compute, cloud computing, legal and banking services for free to founders -Vertical builder communities (hard-tech and health tech have already launched with more coming) -Immersive student visits to Top AI startups. Already live with Harvard, MIT, Northeastern and Babson -Speaker series of founders and operators in more classrooms -Recurring office hours for students to sit with founders and operators to get advice -IRL events and a marquee celebration (this is where i come in) -Supporting 100+ creators and a news network amplifying MA stories -VIP onboarding for people considering relocating to MA -Ramp up pack for new Bostonians to get acclimated and have a peer group In front of that legendary Citgo sign that seems to never be hidden from the Boston skyline, we were joined by the Office of Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, Secretary Eric Paley, hundreds of investors / founders / students, the a16z team (Rose Johnson, Jonathan Lai, Shrikala Kashyap), Mass AI volunteers, the fearless leaders of the coalition (Ryan Durkin, Giuseppe Stuto), our awesome sponsors at Goodwin (David Cappillo) and SVB (Lisa Puleo, Ben Maitland-Lewis, Nicole Hawkey, Jesse Aranda-Comer) and the WHOOP team who has gone above and beyond to bankroll a lot of this (Ed Baker). Note: i am not in the big group photo bc i was taking it; it appears i’m still the resident photographer gathering the troops even when there is an official Photographer 😂 And if you haven’t heard of the Coalition, its mission is to unite the people shaping the next era of AI in Massachusetts around an ambitious goal: double the number of $1B+ companies in the state over the next five years. Today, MA is home to 126 such co's. Jason Burke Andrew Lau Ashley Stolba Mike Troiano Shirley Paley Ali Mahmoud Jonathan Chang Philip H. From Zero to Rockstar: Building a Scalable Recruiting Engine for Startups BZ is still working on building out program guides for all facets of foundational HR for start-ups. This week we'll get into a bit of the recruiting space and what it takes to get something off the ground that isn't job board spray and pray. Part 1 – Hiring Mindset: From Panic to Strategy What it covers: 🎯 Why “just fill the seat” always backfires. 🎯 Defining the company’s talent philosophy (mission, values, culture add vs. culture fit). 🎯 Building a headcount plan aligned with budget and business goals. 🎯 Introducing the Talent Scorecard — a tool to get everyone on the same page about what “great” looks like. 💯 Key takeaway: Hiring is a strategic lever, not a fire drill.

As you scale from Series A to Series B, the pressure to grow quickly and efficiently can be intense. So, what can help make that scaling journey less painful? In our experience, fractional expertise can really help unlock some of those common growth blockers. If fractional talent isn’t something you’ve considered before, here are some key benefits for your scaling journey… 1️⃣ Cost-effective hiring Hiring senior commercial leaders can often come with a tough decision between quality and affordability. With fractional leadership, you get top-tier expertise without the full-time price tag, allowing you to make tight budgets work harder for you. 2️⃣ Quicker timelines Hiring senior talent takes time, but fractional leaders can be onboarded in just 3-4 weeks and hit the ground running. 3️⃣ Less risk The wrong full-time hire can set you back months on your growth journey, and it’s an expensive mistake to make. Fractional hires don’t come with any of those strings attached and can be easily scaled up or down, depending on where you are on your journey. 4️⃣ Broad insights It can be hard to see the wood from the trees when scaling. Fractional leaders can provide fresh, objective perspectives, helping to make strategic decisions while drawing on examples and expertise they’ve gained in other roles. Ready to scale smarter? Let’s chat more about what fractionals can bring to the table. #FractionalHiring #Fractional #GTM #Hiring #Sales #Marketing

PSA for startups chasing funding. If you want to operate on steroids, stop showing up to investors with guesses, assumptions, and internal optimism. The #1 way to get funded today is simple. Show investors what you know connects with the market and not what you think will. Founders who walk into the room with validated ICPs, validated messaging, and real commercial dialogue with strangers (not friends, not warm intros, not people who “like the idea”) have the leverage. Because nothing de-risks an investment faster than proof that the market actually responds. If you want funding, prove your story converts outside your network. #startupfunding

Funding isn’t a pitch problem—it’s a plan problem. 3 steps I use with founders: 1) Define the exact ask: amount, use of funds, runway. 2) Prove the math: revenue model + 12–18 month cash forecast. 3) Package the story: traction, risks, and next milestones in a clean deck + one-page plan. You mention ARR and TAM in your pitch. Investors nod politely. But what really drives their decision? Behind the scenes, investors look for signals beyond standard metrics. Team dynamics, GTM clarity, and market timing often weigh heavier than the numbers you highlight. Strong team chemistry, proven leadership, and founder–market fit inspire trust. Repeatable traction and scalable go-to-market strategies signal growth readiness. And smart timing, showing why your solution is needed now, adds urgency to the opportunity. At Equisy, we help founders craft pitches that speak to what investors really care about, not just what looks good on paper. Because great fundraising isn’t just about data, it’s about the story behind the numbers. #Equisy #Funding #Fundraising #Startupecosystem #Startup #Investment #Investmentreadiness #Valuation #Captable #Metrics #Dataroom #Venturecapital #Investor #Entrepreneur #Scenariomodeling #Pitchdeck #Fundraising #InvestmentReadiness #Startups #VC

Check this out! There’s something powerful about third-party validation arriving before the broader market fully catches on. Seeing MELD featured in The Lynx List feels less like a milestone and more like confirmation of what many of us have already seen firsthand: strong execution, clear market pull, and a team building with unusual intentionality. What stands out most is that this recognition wasn’t engineered. It was earned. For early partners and investors, moments like this matter because they signal growing visibility at exactly the stage where momentum compounds fastest. Excited to keep watching MELD build. The trajectory is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore, especially under Katie McCormick Lelyveld's leadership.
