How do you define roles and responsibilities in partnerships?
If you are building open-ended platform for partners to sign up, you can build terms upfront as part of your public policy or private model. Then you don't need to spend cycles to negotiate as long as your policy is attractive for partners to sign up. A good example is platform for booking tables in restaurants or app store for desktop or mobile phones.

How do you define roles and responsibilities in partnerships?
I would pivot from partner "compatibility" to a "1+1=3" mindset when I'm looking for potential partnerships. For example, if you build shared platform, you will not only target compatibility (complementary skills and resources) but also completeness of experience for our joint customers (having an app store for developers to grow engagement and satisfaction of end-users)

At the same time I'm the founder and leader of Murmansk Developer Alliance MSTU DA (http://mstu.gotdotnet.ru). At our meetings I with other students and developers make different presentations and discussions about modern IT technologies. -
