In my latest newsletter, I break down why Red Hat’s AI Enterprise strategy is less about GPUs, and more about industrializing the AI control plane. Red Hat is positioning itself as the knitting layer of the enterprise AI stack: • NVIDIA drives silicon and microservices innovation • IBM and other OEMs operates above in data and below in storage • Red Hat binds the infrastructure together The real question isn’t “Can we build AI?” It’s: 👉 Can we operationalize AI across on-prem, neoclouds, and hyperscalers without creating another fragmented stack? 👉 Can we move from coding AI to delivering measurable ROI? 👉 Can we standardize lifecycle management so AI becomes a business system, not a science project? With ~67% of enterprise data still on-prem or hybrid, hybrid consistency is the real ROI lever. This is where AI Ops either scales or breaks. My son casually mentioned that the Director of the VA and the Director of another agency sent him a thank-you note for work he did over the past few weeks. I had to stop him and give him context. That is not just a nice email. That is a career artifact. Document what you did. Capture the impact. Save the note. Write down the story while it is fresh. Ten years from now, in a major interview, this is the kind of example that helps explain who you are under pressure. We expect excellence in our family. But today, I am just a very proud dad.

Stuart Miniman reacted on thisStuart Miniman reacted on thisExcited to announce that starting on June 1st I’ll be the new Chief Architect focused on AI and Agentic within the CTO Organization at Red Hat under Chris Wright and Matt Smith. I was just remembering, right before graduating Purdue Computer Science, a family member asked what my goals were in life. I replied “I want to be a high level architect, something like a Distinguished Engineer or Chief Architect, and work for an open source focused company, like Red Hat”. I now look forward to expanding my career and continuing to be a thought leader in the industry around agentic AI approaches, methodologies, adoption, and security/governance/sovereignty over AI. Big shout out to Rosa Guntrip, Chris Morgan, and Steven Huels for bringing me into the AI BU almost 3 years ago now, along with Grant Shipley and Joe Fernandes for helping grow my career within the BU. I’m incredibly enthused and energized by this opportunity. Intel is a company I’ve long admired and aspired to join. To me, it represents an industry stalwart and a national treasure. I’m also honored to join a company with such strong leadership team and to be working on Annie Shea Weckesser's marketing and comms team. She is a leader I’ve similarly long admired and aspired to join. More than anything else, I think we have a special opportunity at Intel to tell a powerful story about reinvention at a unique moment in time. The trends in tech and AI are lining up for Intel to be successful, and its success is so important to the US and the world. I simply can’t wait to tell this story!
