In Bench Sales, the real competition isn’t other recruiters. It’s impatience. Everyone wants: • quick responses • immediate requirements • instant results But this industry doesn’t work that way. Most vendor partnerships are built slowly: • one good message • one helpful hotlist • one respectful follow-up • one honest conversation That’s how trust forms. Roles don’t open every day. People don’t reply every day. And that’s okay. Bench Sales is a long game. If you stay consistent, stay respectful, and show up professionally — the results always come. Keep going. I hear this from recruiting and staffing agencies all the time... They hire someone with an impressive resume to head up sales or ops. It's usually an SVP or director out of somewhere like Robert Half, KForce, or another big name. The person has such a good track record that it's confusing when they don't live up to expectations. But from my personal experience, this scenario never works out. What I've seen that works instead is hiring someone more junior with a killer attitude and good instincts. When your opportunity is a stretch for them, and they need to prove themselves -- that's when I've seen it work. Thoughts?

Is a Rate Confirmation (RC) Enough in Today’s US IT Staffing Market? Let’s talk about the reality of US IT staffing right now. Getting a Rate Confirmation (RC) from a consultant in a day might feel like a win, but here’s the hard truth: It’s not enough. In a market this competitive, where talent is in high demand and clients have endless options, you need to go beyond the RC to stand out and close deals successfully. Why Just an RC Isn’t Enough: Consultants Have Options: Top talent is being approached by multiple recruiters daily. An RC doesn’t guarantee commitment. Clients Expect More: They want reassurance that the consultant is fully onboard, understands the role, and is ready to deliver. The Market Moves Fast: Delays in follow-up or lack of engagement can lead to losing the candidate to another opportunity. What You Need to Do Beyond the RC: Build a Relationship: Take the time to understand the consultant’s goals, preferences, and concerns. Show them you’re invested in their success. Sell the Opportunity: Don’t just share the role—paint a picture of how this opportunity aligns with their career aspirations. Stay Connected: Follow up regularly. Keep them engaged and informed throughout the process. Ensure Commitment: Confirm their interest and availability. Make sure they’re not just agreeing to the rate but are genuinely excited about the role. Prepare Them for the Client: Coach them on the client’s expectations, interview process, and company culture. The Bottom Line: In today’s US IT staffing landscape, an RC is just the starting point. To truly succeed, you need to build trust, provide value, and ensure both the consultant and the client are fully aligned.

The difference between Talent Acquisition vs Staffing Agencies? Reactivity vs Proactivity TA is great if used correctly, but 99% of companies out there don't understand how to utilize them. High quantity positions that can afford to be reactive are phenomenal for TA to work on and fill. High level, niche roles can start to be worked on by TA for a period of time (dependent on urgency level), but those really should be given to a staffing agency that specializes in that sector and ideally has the relationships to identify the ideal candidate quickly and efficiently. In summary- "saving cost" by avoiding agencies can be doable, but don't shoot yourself in the foot by sending your TA team to war with a butter knife as they just flat out don't have the resources or head start that agency recruiters have! #staffing #recruiting

She has been burned before—video interview with a “company” that didn’t exist, job offer accepted, onboarding complete… and then poof! Recruiter vanished, identity stolen. Ouch. So this time? Jenn’s not taking chances. ✅ Kforce Inc asks for a quick photo of her Driver’s License for ID verification. ❌ Jenn says, “Nope, not falling for that again.” ✅ Instead, Jenn snaps a picture of the Kforce Inc recruiter and does her own due diligence to confirm Kforce Inc is the real deal. Lesson: Fraudsters are getting creative, so legit candidates need to as well. If you’re hiring, make sure your process is transparent and secure. If you’re job hunting, verify the recruiter and the company before sharing personal info. Trust is OK, but verification is key. Even in the cleared space Here is how we actively combat fraudulent activity in the hiring process: ✅ Using security assessment tools like Glider AI to verify skills and identity ✅ Scheduling initial calls via Microsoft Teams video to confirm details face to face ✅ Conducting interview preps on video for stronger verification ✅ Reviewing resumes against our database of 15 million past resumes for consistency ✅ Comparing LinkedIn profiles to resumes when available ✅ Meeting in person if the candidate is local ✅ In the cleared space, verifying clearances before submission to our clients After the first touch point with a recruiter, many of our Account Managers will also reach out to have a second conversation prior to sending a resume to the client.
