Is Reddit, Inc. on your radar for marketing & SEO? If not it should be & here's why. 1. Reddit is now consistently cited as the # 1 citation for AI / LLM citations; according to some data I've seen ~5% of all AI search mentions Reddit specifically. It's got the world's largest database of real, contextual answers to specific questions & given the way the platform works (aggregated by topic) it lends itself well to AI search. 2. Reddit Pro (just recently announced to now have IOs mobile capability) which allows you to monitor specific keyword & track mentions across the platform (much like Google allows you to do). This helps you measure brand awareness in the platform, respond to key conversations, and focus efforts on increasing your awareness within Reddit to then hopefully show up more consistently in AI search. AI search doesn't have massive volume yet (still <5% of all traffic I'm seeing on clients GA4 accts) BUT I've been seeing data that supports conversion rates from LLM traffic is much higher than regular organic traffic. 3. The ability to learn from specific subject matter experts is crucial to learning new niches & angles. It's still mostly anonymous (which is changing) but this level of security allows folks to really open up & spill the truth on a wide range of topics; which from a purely learning POV is invaluable 4. Ad traffic has low CPM & is great for brand awareness. You can run low cost awareness ads. Sure; some of the traffic may not be legit (debates about how much is bot traffic, hard to know for sure); but I've def found it drives quality traffic (in sense of website engagement compared to other paid/organic channels). 5. I've started posting a few things into the comment section (much like folks do here) as a way to increase brand awareness & in some really small tests; I've been getting a ton of DMs. For example; someone will post a question about starting a business (ie prob needs some marketing) & I'll post a well-written, thoughtful answer & Reddit will push the most upvoted / responded to comment up the thread; so you can wind up with a fair amount of views & seems to convert into DM traffic; which has started some interesting conversations. After helping several health & beauty brands launch on Amazon, here’s what we actually had to nail down before anyone even saw a listing: • Brand basics first: Get your Seller Central, Brand Registry, and trademark squared away right away; especially if you’re DTC-first. I’ve seen this take anywhere from days to months, so handling it in advance always helps with the launch timeline.    • Creative direction + best practices: The look, feel, product image order, A+ content, storefront layout… all need to be aligned. Pull inspiration from DTC, but layer in Amazon best practices + competitive research so everything is prepped together. This is a collaborative effort across teams, and honestly, this alignment alone can save months.    • FBA > FBM for most brands: Prime badge, Vine access, better data. Decide early who owns it. If Amazon is your first retail-like channel and you’ve only done in-house warehousing, there’s a steep learning curve for brands' supply chain teams. Starting with an experienced 3PL or having a supply chain expert on board makes the shipments smoother.    • Category quirks matter: In skincare, expiry dates must be clear on the outside of packaging. Hazmat or liquids require specific prep and pack rules. Teams need to know how to create shipments, case packs, or mixed units early on - and navigate Amazon’s internal inventory systems.    • Timeline sanity: All these layers take weeks to execute. Plan backwards from your target launch date and run it through a project management system regardless of launching yourself or working with an agency.     Boring? Maybe. But this is what separates a frantic midnight scramble from a calm, systemized launch. At deeproots partners, we tier keyword strategy based on business impact. Tier 1: Primary Money Drivers These are the high-intent search terms we track most closely in our keyword tools and reporting dashboards. They drive traffic and revenue: Dispensary Dispensary Near Me Dispensary + City Weed Delivery + City Weed Delivery Near Weed Deals + City And their close variants These are your non-negotiables. You need dedicated, fully optimized pages targeting each one. Do not produce multiple pages for variants. One Page = One City. Follow that you are good. Tier 2: Secondary Money Drivers These support discovery and category depth. Still valuable, but a step down in urgency: Category + City (e.g., cannabis flower, edibles, vapes, concentrates) Brand + City (e.g., Jeeter, Stiiizy, Wyld, etc.) We track these too, but focus more on positioning and intent, especially in competitive markets. What about blog content? What about THC vs. CBD? That content still matters. It builds topical authority, supports SEO breadth, and helps internal linking. But think of it as supporting content, not your core money pages. Educational blogs should: Target long-tail informational queries Link to your main service or product pages Reinforce the themes you're trying to rank for commercially The Game Plan for 2026: ✅Build dedicated, in-depth pages for your primary money keywords ✅Support them with category and brand content ✅Create a blog strategy that interlinks back to your core pages ✅Optimize and update continually Follow this framework consistently in 2026 and you will rank Top 3-5 for the keywords that matter.

We helped a medical cannabis brand grow from $8k to $47k/mo organic revenue in 1 year. Here’s how: 1. Built category pages Our client had one category page when we started – their “Shop All” page. The issue with this approach is that a single page can’t possibly serve the search intent of (and therefore rank for) every product-related search term that applies to your business. So, we built 10+ category pages for the different types of products they sold (RSO gummies, RSO syringe, etc), and we’ve since built ~20 more to capture new “edibles” keywords. 2. Developed blog content To increase topical authority (thereby helping their category pages rank) and drive middle- and top-of-funnel traffic, we developed blog posts on a variety of relevant topics. But we didn’t just write about “what is RSO” or “how to use RSO,” we went deeper into the funnel with topics like: -Best PRODUCT -BRAND vs BRAND vs. OUR CLIENT There are plenty of purchase-intent keywords you can rank for with your blog. Don’t limit yourself to informational content.  We recognized this and acted accordingly. 3. Built location pages To capture demand from people looking for RSO near them, we created pages for various states and cities throughout the US. These drive traffic from keywords with the location in them (e.g. “RSO denver”) as well as from “near me” keywords typed in by people in the various localities that we built pages for. Again, don’t limit your revenue by ignoring local keywords just because you’re not a local brand. Chances are, a good portion of the people who search these terms would be open to buying online if you clearly communicate WHY it’s beneficial to do so. Don’t do “national” SEO or “local” SEO – just do SEO. 4. Built links & parasite SEO placements To increase our client’s authority and help them rank for more revenue-driving keywords, we built 4-8 links / mo, with most of them being link insertions and another small portion (especially as of recent) being parasite SEO placements, which serve the dual benefit of authority for traditional SEO and relevance for GEO / AI visibility. For the link insertions, we found websites with content about medical cannabis, cannabis, or natural wellness, more generally, and asked them to add a link to our client’s site. We’ve built most of the links to their homepage, with a few category page links sprinkled in. For the parasite placements (our client sells RSO), we published articles on high-authority websites about topics like: - best RSO - what is RSO - best RSO syringes - Good results for year 1, but we’re just getting started If you need help with your cannabis brand’s SEO, send me a DM.
