“Karen arrived at L-3 Communications in July 2008 soon after I was temporarily transferred to L-3’s BIT group (Binary Ionization Technology). My primary task was in less than 3 months to incorporate and develop the BIT technology into a commercial disinfection product directed for use in the medical markets. Driving the schedule was deployment of the first article unit to demonstrate its capabilities at an upcoming conference. Concurrently we were developing the marketing materials and trade show booth graphics for the conference being held September 2008 in Chicago. Karen came in while this was all in process and brought to the table her extensive background in marketing and business development, professionalism, drive, great eye for detail, and focus on the message to be conveyed to the trade show attendees and potential customers. She drove the development of the show materials and graphics to a very high level. Karen also made sure that those of us working the conference were well trained and prepared to represent L-3 and present a unified message regarding the new BIT product to visitors to the booth interested in its capabilities. Her involvement and direct participation insured that the trade show was a success and generated a large amount of interest in the new product. Subsequent to this show we worked together arranging and organizing additional conferences and trade shows. I truly enjoyed working with Karen and have high regard for her capabilities. I learned a lot.”
