Alpha School, the AI-powered private school originally founded in Texas, is now expanding nationwide with new locations in Fort Worth and Plano. Tuition costs $40,000 at Alpha Fort Worth and $50,000 at Alpha Plano. Alpha Fort Worth is set to accommodate approximately 70 students from kindergarten through eighth grade, while Alpha Plano, which has already launched with 30 founding families, will cater to students from kindergarten through third grade, with future plans to add more grades next year. Alpha maintains student-to-teacher ratio, averaging at 1:6 in lower grades and 1:13 in upper grades. At Alpha School, the curriculum is designed to offer a blend of academics and life skills. Fall 2025 is showing promising signs for public institutions, with record freshman classes and positive trends despite concerns about enrollment declines. Health-sciences programs, dual-enrollment initiatives, retention efforts, and new graduate programs are key drivers of this success. For instance, Texas State's significant online expansion and community college partnerships exemplify this growth. While the Sun Belt and major metropolitan areas are leading the way, states like Tennessee and Texas are setting records, and CalState is experiencing growth driven by in-state enrollments. On the other hand, Wisconsin and South Dakota are relatively flat despite improvements in freshman pipelines. Changes in enrollment composition, such as an increase in full-time students in South Dakota, suggest higher course loads and improved financial outcomes. Successful initiatives like direct/dual admission and community college partnerships are yielding positive results, stabilizing transfer student numbers post-pandemic. Although some regions face challenges due to demographic shifts, many public institutions are achieving record first-year enrollments. The Southern US, in particular, is witnessing a surge in domestic applications, intensifying competition for admissions. Flagship universities are attracting exceptional first-year cohorts, while regional institutions and community colleges are driving growth through online and innovative pipeline programs. Systems in the Upper Midwest are maintaining stable headcounts but benefiting from increased full-time equivalent (FTE) numbers, crucial for financial planning. Despite ongoing softness in nonresident and international enrollments, the overall outlook for Fall 2025 remains optimistic for public institutions. Collaboration isn’t just a nice to have… It is the fuel that helps people, companies, and entire communities thrive. Next week, the Austin Technology Council and the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting a breakfast on “Austin’s Place in Global Business”. The panel includes voices from Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce , Tech Ranch , and the Williamson County Economic Development Partnership. It is a great example of what happens when different groups lean into working together. Everyone benefits. But collaboration is not only about organizations. It is about people. For individuals, it means stepping outside your comfort zone, getting curious about others, and finding ways to combine talents and ideas. For companies, it means seeing beyond competition and recognizing that partnerships and shared conversations can accelerate growth. For communities, it means creating the culture where trust and cooperation are the default. This theme is also at the heart of my keynote on “Human Interaction (H.I.) in an AI-Diven World”. Technology is powerful, but the real advantage comes from people who know how to collaborate with intention, with authenticity, and with each other. Collaboration creates momentum that no one can generate alone. So here is my challenge: this week, find one way to collaborate with a colleague, a peer company, or a community group. When you do, you are not just moving yourself forward, you are moving us all forward.
