Jordi Martorell liked thisJordi Martorell liked this“There is never enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time to do the most important thing.” ~ Brian Tracy ~ The reality is that many people believe they still have time. They think they can tackle tasks tomorrow. However, when tomorrow arrives, they find new excuses and postpone their goals again and again. Sometimes it’s due to a lack of time, money, or knowledge, or simply because the weather isn’t perfect so let’s start tomorrow. This mindset of always having more time leads to perpetual delays as we wait for everything to be ready before starting something new. Given the unpredictability of life and life is so fragile, the only moment we truly control is now. There’s no future on which to rely. So, whatever you wish to accomplish - your projects, your dreams, or any other aspirations - you should start now. Achieving anything worthwhile takes time, and the distractions in our lives are designed by the best developers and designers to capture our attention and rob us of our time. Instead of procrastinating and seeking fleeting joy, focus on what truly matters. The only time is now. Choose wisely. Wishing you some valuable time filled with “wonder”…

And they were using taxpayer dollars! “Minnesota voter fraud case — 500 to 600 fraudulent voter registration applications were submitted to election officials in offices in 13 Minnesota counties.” But check this out - they were all fake addresses and names. “It was some sharp election workers in Carver County who realized the names and addresses on the voter registration forms did not match with any county residents.” “Were paid by an unnamed foundation to help register voters — This is a case about individuals who conspired to submit false voter registration applications. This is not a case about fraudulent votes, and this is ultimately a case of the system working.” REPOST for exposure! #thinblueline #lawenforcement

DRAM and NAND are no longer considered commodity components. Analysts are describing this as the strongest memory upturn since 2017–2018, but this perspective overlooks the operational reality. Suppliers are currently prioritizing: • HBM • DDR5 • Enterprise SSDs As a result, everything else must compete for limited residual capacity. If your product relies on legacy DRAM or NAND and lacks allocation protection, you are at risk, whether you realize it or not. This phase of the cycle emphasizes the importance of strategic procurement.

I'm excited to share that today Micron announced an expansion to our investments in U.S. semiconductor manufacturing. Our bold vision now includes two leading-edge high-volume fabs in Idaho, advanced HBM packaging capabilities, up to four leading-edge high-volume fabs in New York, and the expansion and modernization of our existing fab in Virginia. And, we have also upped our R&D investments in the U.S. – reaffirming our long-term position as the global memory technology leader. Our procurement team has been at the forefront of enabling Micron’s global expansions, working closely with our valued supply chain partners. Over the past several years, we have been engaging with our suppliers to build up the semiconductor supply chain in the U.S., and with today’s announcement, their partnership and investment is now more important than ever. We are energized by the challenge ahead and look forward to what we will accomplish together. Thank you to our supply chain partners and our incredible Micron procurement team members for their continued focus and commitment to enabling our global expansions. Together we are building the future of semiconductor manufacturing in America. Read our announcement here: https://lnkd.in/g8crbFna

A supplier once came to me and said, “We’ve been overcharging — and we want to correct it.” No negotiation. No prompting. Just honesty. That moment stuck with me. Not because of the savings, but because of what it signaled: integrity over margin, and a long-term mindset over short-term gain. In procurement, we often talk about cost, value, and performance. But the real moat — the defensible advantage — is trust. When a supplier chooses transparency, they’re not just protecting their reputation; they’re building a relationship that competitors can’t easily replicate. Greed might win a quarter. Fairness wins a decade. The truth always finds its way to the surface. And when it does, those who built their business on fairness and credibility are the ones still standing. #Procurement #SupplierTrust #BusinessMoats #Integrity #Leadership #LongTermThinking

Navigating Price Increases: Strategies to Manage Supplier Demands It started with a single email: “Due to rising input costs, we’re forced to increase our rates by 30% effective next month.” I stared at the screen. This supplier was critical. No alternate source. No buffer stock. And certainly, no budget for a 30% hike. I felt that familiar procurement panic—caught between a rock and a cost increase. The Dilemma Do you push back and risk souring the relationship? Or accept the hike and brace for internal backlash? I chose a third route: Understand first, negotiate second. Step 1: Separate Fact from Fear We asked for a detailed cost breakdown—not to challenge their pain, but to understand it. What we discovered: Raw material costs had risen only 8%. Logistics charges had spiked, but were temporary. The rest? A blanket increase to “cover uncertainty.” This gave us leverage—not to fight, but to find middle ground. Step 2: Market Benchmarking We benchmarked prices across the region. Three suppliers—two confirmed smaller hikes, one was stable (but with a longer lead time). Now we had data. Not threats. Step 3: Creative Structuring Instead of rejecting the increase, we: Proposed a stepped pricing model—10% now, and only more if logistics costs stayed elevated. Signed a six-month contract with a clause for review based on commodity index changes. Bundled volumes from another business unit to give the supplier higher throughput in return for pricing stability. The Outcome We limited the increase to 12%, secured delivery priority, and introduced a price review mechanism tied to real-world costs—not assumptions. Better still, finance applauded the transparency and flexibility. The Real Lesson Suppliers don’t enjoy raising prices. But when they do, it’s often reflexive. Our job isn’t just to say no—it’s to ask why, explore how, and co-create what’s fair. Win win scenario and sustainable cost is very important in supply chain from long term perspective. Transition: Calling tone of Vendor changed to Supplier , supplier changed to Supply partner, supply partner changed to Business partner. Let us respect business partners.

Tablet Market Levels Off in 3Q 2025 Following Six Quarters of Growth Driven by Replacement Demand, according to IDC Worldwide #tablet shipments declined 4.4% year-over-year in the third quarter of 2025 (3Q25), totaling 38 million units, according to data from the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker. Following six consecutive quarters marked by several product refreshes and a replacement cycle upswing, the tablet market began to show signs of cooling. Elevated inventory levels carried over from first half of 2025 — partly due to precautionary stockpiling amid #tariff concerns-further weighed on sales during the quarter. Demand remained steady in emerging markets where education initiatives, government digitization programs and smartphone vendors expanding their tablet offerings continue to drive shipment volumes.
