Greta Schulz liked thisGreta Schulz liked thisThere’s a perception out there that great salespeople are just born that way. I don’t buy it. Great sales organizations aren’t built on natural talent alone, they’re built through intentional effort, consistent training, and a commitment to getting better every single day. Right now at Florida Coast Equipment, LLC, we’re in the middle of an intensive sales training and what stands out most isn’t just the content… it’s the buy-in from our team. We’re not focused on individuals. We’re building a team. A team that’s aligned. A team that’s equipped with the right tools. A team that understands what it means to deliver superior customer service and unrivaled product support. I couldn’t be more proud of the commitment I’m seeing; the focus, the engagement, the willingness to lean in and grow. This is how you get better. This is how you win long term. And make no mistake… We’re getting stronger. We’re getting better. We’re getting sharper. Excited about where we’re headed. Sales Pros—prospects can actually look forward to your contact when you create FusionPoints™ before reaching out. You’ve identified perfect prospects. They meet your ideal client parameters. Everything looks right. You’re ready to make contact. There’s significant earnings potential. You’re prepared. The excitement of beginning a new client relationship is just around the bend. (I think I’m channeling my inner Johnny Cash… 🎶 I hear that sale a comin’, it’s rollin’ round the bend, and I ain’t met my quota, since I don’t know when…🎸) But you can’t get the first meeting booked. Prospects aren’t taking your call or replying to emails. Drop by in person, and you’re met with the dreaded, “They only see salespeople with an appointment.” You’re thinking, “How can I set an appointment when I can’t even get anyone to talk with me?” 💡 Here’s what’s happening: unexpected contacts from salespeople create one of three brain responses. 1️⃣ Some have heard of your company and know they need you. Your potential solution creates a positive emotional response. They’ll say yes. (Don’t you wish they all went that way?) With this group, you’ll succeed if you make enough calls, but your process isn’t as efficient as it could be. 2️⃣ Some consider a cold call an interruption. You’re creating a collision point—the mix of negative emotion and logic. They’ll push away from the interaction, say no, or not take your call. 3️⃣ Some know nothing of you and couldn’t care less. They’re focused on their own day and ignore your efforts. There’s no emotional context. The third group hasn’t been given a reason to say yes… yet. So give them one. To alter the course, work with the brain’s neurology—which produces every decision. Intentionally generate a positive emotional response—and combine it with the logic of how your product or service betters their world. Create FusionPoints™ in your model by priming the prospecting pump. Start with three touches that stimulate a positive emotional response before your first contact. Then, when you combine the logic of your value with that positive emotion, the brain’s neurology helps move the process forward. In chapters 8 and 9 of Bob Burg’s and my book "Streetwise to Saleswise," Thaddeus learns how to apply this strategy—you’ll find helpful ideas there. We’re all creatures of habit. So you might be thinking, “I’ve always done this a different way. That seems like more work. I don’t know if I want to do that.” I understand. Your concern is valid. If that’s you, may I suggest something? Test it—and prove me wrong. :-) Without stopping your normal prospecting flow, pick 25 target prospects and try what I’m suggesting. Track the results. Then go out there and sell something! :-) Will you put priming the prospecting pump to the test? Share in the comments.

VA TIP: Build a “Rainy Day” Marketing Plan Prepare a lightweight marketing plan you can lean on during slow seasons—like pre-written email campaigns, repurposed blog content, or a list of warm leads to follow up with. Having this in place keeps your momentum strong when client work slows down. #VAtipsandtricks #VAnetworking #VAcommunity #FreelanceSuccess #WorkFromHomeLife #VirtualAssistant #MarketingPlan #vana

If your book sales have lost momentum, here are five ways to jumpstart them again. 1. Host a one-time book club meeting. 2. Make a podcast appearance where your book and its content are the focus. 3. Post a quote from it, and start a conversation on social. Leave a link to the book in the comments. 4. Book a speaking engagement that also allows you to sell your book. 5. Let people know it even exists. 😊 Which one can you do for your book?

✨I live in a small town full of small business owners, who don’t understand marketing.✨ I don’t say that to be mean… I say it because so many of their business marketing posts shared on community social media pages start like… “My business is going under. Please help. Buy my services at 50% off.” In the current economic climate, I get it. Desperation in your marketing content isn’t a tactic — it’s an earnest, heartfelt plea. But. 🚫It. Won’t. Work. For one thing, desperation will scare off potential buyers just about every time. For another…people just don’t care. That’s harsh, but stay with me. If you want to sell your services or products, don’t start out telling your audience or target market what they can do for you… 🌈SHOW them what your products or services can do for them. Flip the script. Instead of, “I’m desperate” Try, “here’s how my services can help solve a problem.” Specifically, I saw a post from a vent cleaning business. In ten minutes I researched the benefits of vent cleaning. I gently reached out and said, maybe you could try leading your posts with some benefits of vent cleaning… 🤧 You know, “Got allergies? Try vent cleaning” type of posts. The problem: spring allergies (both timely and wide-ranging) 📋 The solution: your vent cleaning But most business owners don’t want to hear it. Even when advice is given freely. And I’m convinced it’s a huge part of WHY many businesses fail in the first year, and many more within the first five years. 💡Ask not what your audience can do for you. Ask how you can save them time, money, and headaches. Happy Monday, peeps. #contentmarketing #socialmediamarketing #contentmarketingtips

If you want more leads + clients, don’t do it alone. You can partner with other people who already have your ideal clients’ attention. Here’s a big list of easy partnership ideas you could try: • Be a guest on someone’s podcast • Subscription box placements • Host a webinar together • Swap email shoutouts • Run a giveaway together • Share each other’s social media posts • Create a mini training together • Feature each other in a newsletter • Offer bundle deals with your products • Host a virtual summit • Trade interviews on YouTube • Do a joint LinkedIn Live • Recommend each other’s services • Co-host a live workshop • Write guest blogs for each other • Create a freebie together (like a checklist or guide) • Start a referral program • Run a challenge together • Interview each other for case studies • Sponsor each other’s events • Share booths at a live event Partnership marketing is just making friends and helping each other grow. Which one will you try first? 👉 Comment below — I might even have a partner to introduce you to.

The best way to grow your consulting/fractional services business? ✅ Do the work. ✅ Create real results. ✅ Let those results speak for themselves. Referrals don’t come from clever ads or flashy marketing tactics — they come from impact. When your clients see transformation, they talk. And when they talk, your business grows. It’s easy to get distracted by funnels, hacks, and trends. But the truth is: results are the marketing. Focus on the work. Serve your clients well. The rest takes care of itself. #BusinessGrowth #ClientSuccess
