“Dr. Greg Gaddy and his talented team earned a two year task order to perform a very challenging job within a culture that was not always accustomed to working at a higher security level. Greg served as our senior advisor in developing and implementing a new NASA research and technology protection (RTP) program on NASA's highest priority space system. We picked the right person and the right team. Greg's extensive knowledge and experience in applying RTP policy, procedures, and processes on other government acquisition systems allowed NASA to identify and protect its critical program technologies early while shaving valuable time off our our RTP implementation schedule. His products were of the highest quality and delivered on schedule. I look forward to the next opportunity to work with Greg on another NASA program/project.”

Self-metallizing polyimide films are created by doping polyamic acid solutions with metallic ions and solubilizing agents. Upon creating a film, the film is exposed to coherent light for a specific time and then cured. The resulting film has been found to have a metallic surface layer and a metallic subsurface layer (interlayer). The layer separating the metallic layer has a uniform dispersion of small metal particulates within the polymer. The layer below the interlayer has larger metal…
