Bridging Climate, Health & Human Impact at NY Tech Week 💡🌍 This past week I had the chance to dive deep into the connective tissue between climate change, cancer outcomes, and investment frameworks, most notably at the BrightEdge - American Cancer Society x Holtara (an Apex Group company) Impact & ESG Workshop "Investing to Drive Sustainability in Health and Climate." The conversations explored the powerful intersection of climate, health, and equity into sharp focus. Held at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge, where patients and caregivers stay free while undergoing treatment, this gathering was a grounding reminder that impact is not abstract. It lives in patients’ stories, climate realities, and systemic health disparities. We beta-tested a new Health Equity Classification investment theory, exploring how to better assess and mobilize capital in ways that advance both environmental and health justice. This is where I want to be focusing my efforts, building the future of investing where ESG is not a box to check, but a lever to drive meaningful change. 🌱🏥 I also joined: 🔹 The Female Founder Collective x Delish x HearstLab for a NY Tech Week session on "The Future of Food." From brand authenticity to customer-driven product cycles, the message was clear: community, clarity, and purpose win. 🔹 A tactical session on Smart Talent Tactics for people managers, offering clear, behavioral science-backed strategies to scale teams without burnout. Across all of it, one thread held true: we need to keep people (patients, customers, founders, teams) at the center of the systems we’re building. Whether it’s climate finance or food tech, this work is personal.
