Many companies believe their IMMEX operation is compliant… until the authority knocks on the door. After more than 25 years working with maquila and IMMEX operations, I’ve seen that most compliance issues don’t come from fraud, but from: Weak internal controls Poor inventory management Processes that “worked before” but no longer comply Preventive trade compliance audits are not a cost — they are a risk management tool.
