I shared some of the work we’ve been driving at DTCC to move AI from experimentation into real operational impact, including building the governance and infrastructure needed to support enterprise-wide adoption responsibly, and also embedding AI into the SDLC, scaling developer enablement. A few themes that stood out throughout the symposium: * AI adoption is accelerating rapidly across financial services * The conversation has shifted from “What is possible?” to “How do we operationalize this safely at scale?” * Success increasingly depends on combining technology, governance, culture, and measurable business outcomes * The future is migrating from simple copilots to intelligent systems, workflows, and infrastructure embedded deeply into processes. It is no longer about waving the “AI magic wand” to create quick fixes. Today we're launching the Claude Platform on AWS in general availability, a first of its kind offering for Anthropic. AWS customers get the full Claude API through the AWS account they already have. Authentication runs through AWS IAM. Audit through CloudTrail. Billing comes through a single AWS invoice and retires against committed spend. Every new Claude Platform feature and beta ships on AWS the same day it ships on our native API, including Claude Managed Agents, the advisor strategy, code execution, skills, and the MCP connector. This has easily been the most rewarding and challenging experience of my professional life, and it is due to the group of people I had the honor of working with every day. From the RGM OGs to the almost-OGs like Scott Schroeder, Wade Bendele and Perry Barth, to the team workhorses like Katy Pritchard, David Mitchell, Nolan Schiff and Sharida McKenzie — Eventus doesn't exist without the tireless efforts and spectacular attitude these folks, and countless others who deserve a shoutout, exemplify on a 24/7 basis. I also need to give a few special mentions to a couple of folks near and dear to my heart. First, none of this happens without Jeff Bell — a truer partner you couldn't ask for. Scott Mullins liked thisScott Mullins liked thisFor decades, researchers have argued that flat network topologies could make data centers faster, more resilient, and more efficient. The challenge was that nobody had figured out how to make them work reliably at real production scale. Amazon Web Services (AWS) has now done that. Today we’re sharing more about Resilient Network Graphs (RNG), a new AWS network architecture inspired by random graph theory that is now rolling out across AWS data centers globally. RNG gives traffic many more possible paths across the network, reducing bottlenecks and improving fault tolerance. In testing, it delivered up to 33% better throughput than traditional hierarchical designs while using significantly fewer networking devices and less power. What I especially love about this story is how it came together. Mathematicians, network engineers, optical engineers, and applied scientists across AWS worked for years to turn an academic idea into something deployable at AWS scale. An information processing system provisions a client account for a user to enable a client computer associated with the user to store information in an elastic storage system and to prohibit the client computer, the information processing system, and the elastic storage system from altering and from deleting the stored information during an authorized retention period. Data messages are received from one or more client computers and include information that is required to be stored for the authorized retention period. That information is transmitted via one or more data communications networks to the elastic storage system for storage so that the stored information is non-rewriteable and non-erasable during the authorized retention period. The secure data center receives the retrieved copy and provides it to the user device. The elastic storage system permits deletion, modification, or destruction of the stored information only when a trusted independent third party having predetermined authentication information associated with the client account provides the predetermined authentication information to the elastic storage system.
