Here's how you can master industry-specific software for audio production.
There are several ways to master software. The first obvious answer is just to use it. Do a project or two for yourself or for free for a friend in the industry. Learn by making. Then, when you are ready to dive deeper, you can look at courses like the ones offered by Linkedin Learning. For example, the Logic Pro Essentials course covers every relevant area as a great jumping off point to learn Logic Pro in a deep way. Finally, do not be afraid of the manual and help services that softwares offer. Gone are the days of dry, unreadable manuals!

Here's how you can master industry-specific software for audio production.
Acoustic Guitar PT II: Take any good quality large or small diaphragm condenser and place it about 12-15 inches off the 12th fret, and then angle it toward the sound hole or the neck to taper the bass response. Recently I wanted this direct sound plus a room sound. I put room mics out in the room but it was diffuse and kind phasey so I actually put two small diaphragms in ORTF configuration coincident with the principal condenser, and surrounding it. I could bring in the left and right signal as needed to expand and wide in the stereo image and everything was in phase and solid sounding. Another idea: If it’s a strummed part, double track it and pan it left and right. You'll get a much bigger sound than one guitar with stereo micing.

Acoustic Guitar PT I: To record a good sounding acoustic guitar, there are three elements you need: 1) A good sounding guitar. Smaller body guitars tend to have even bass and are easier to record. A dreadnaught guitar sounds great in a room, but they provide so much sound for a mic to handle and are difficult to get right. 2) You need someone who knows how to play the instrument. If they are fingerpicking, they must have good technique. If they’re using a flat pick, they must have good technique as well. 3) A good sounding room. That could either be nice reflections and high ceilings or a completely dead and well treated room but any kind of weird standing waves will automatically make an acoustic recording not work very well.

Here's how you can master industry-specific software for audio production.
When I record or produce vocals for a song I am looking for several factors. The number one priority is the comfort of the vocalist. This includes a well managed headphone mix, but is not limited to a comfortable space to work, and other non-musical accommodations, such as proper lighting, temperature, and beverages available. Once you have the space dialed, you'll want to select the microphone. There are so many factors in choosing the right mic. Some of them are: Microphone type (condenser, dynamic, ribbon), microphone voicing and overall EQ, and mic polar pattern. Each of these will dramatically affect how the singer sounds and their overall performance. Don't be fooled by the most expensive mics- they arent always the best choice!
