New: Anthropic has unveiled its latest artificial intelligence model: Claude Sonnet 4.5. The model is better at coding, using computers and meeting practical business needs, Anthropic said. It also excels in specialized fields like cybersecurity, finance and research. Claude Sonnet 4.5. comes just months after Anthropic launched Claude Opus 4.1 in and Claude Sonnet 4. It’s the latest example of the breakneck pace of innovation within the AI industry. The official kickoff yesterday in Washington brought together some of the most thoughtful leaders in quantum security—from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), to private industry and partners from foreign governments. What stood out wasn’t urgency or alarm, but seriousness. A shared understanding that the systems we rely on today must remain secure for decades, and that preparation takes time. The Year of Quantum Security 2026, presented by The Quantum Insider, is about doing that work deliberately, before timelines compress and choices narrow.
