“As is the case with many startups, my own endeavor has been gridlocked between the need to fund a product in order to build and needing a product to raise funds. It's a problem that can send big dreams and great ideas to their graves but a problem often predicated upon the popular notion that early-stage investing is a necessity, especially when attracting equity partners proves difficult for much of the same reasons— "Let's see the product, then I'll consider." Thanks to Colin and Equity Directory, there's now a solution. It's not that partners for equity aren't out there; they are! There simply needed to be a platform that brings people from all around together based on the same intents and initiatives. Equity Directory not only facilitates connections far and wide, it does so under a high degree of stewardship that validates the professionalism of all members of the community in the eyes of each other. If you're in Equity Directory, you mean business. Equity Directory has helped me enormously. I highly recommend startups pursue this platform. Colin and co-founder Lisa Magill are extraordinary. They've helped me as if they are part of my team, and I can tell they'd do the same for any startup.”

In the new equity economy, people are coming together as a community, doing work on the side, for a cause they believe in.
Most startups fail because they can't find a product-to-market fit before they die.
Sort of like your first job, where no one will hire you without experience, and you need experience to get hired, start-ups need to develop their product offering to raise needed infusions of cash, yet the infusion of cash is needed to do the development.
