📅 Today at revAlation Chicago, we’re unveiling Alation Agent Builder— enabling you to build accurate, configurable, governed, metadata-aware agents. Prototypes are easy. Accuracy and trust are hard. Especially with structured data, where even a small error in a query or filter can break trust. Agent Builder helps teams: 🚀 Reach 90%+ accuracy before deployment with built-in evaluation tools 🛠️ Build agents with no code and prebuilt templates 🤝 Connect to 100+ data sources and apps 🏢 JLL is already using it to power intelligent lease decisions with trusted data (and they're speaking at revAlation today!). https://lnkd.in/g58AeF7u

📉 There’s a hidden tax in every integration project: poor documentation. Integration teams waste countless hours chasing tribal knowledge, reverse-engineering systems, or working from outdated docs. The result? Slower delivery, more errors, and a drag on business outcomes. In our latest blog, Aaron Kesler unpacks how AI agents are changing the game 🤖 automating documentation, surfacing real-time context, and freeing teams to focus on what really matters: building and delivering value. Read how AI is solving the documentation problem here 👉 https://lnkd.in/exmsG_tG #AI #DataIntegration #AgenticAI

The way we build and experience the web is changing, and conversations like these make that shift clearer. Drupal AI Summit 2025 created space for developers and teams to step back, reflect, and think about where things are headed. What stood out was not just the technology, but the shared intent to build systems that are more adaptable, context-aware, and aligned with real user needs. The day was shaped by thoughtful discussions, practical viewpoints, and strong community participation. It was a reminder of how valuable these exchanges are in shaping direction and pushing platforms forward together. Here's an uncomfortable question for my fellow founders re Clawd / Moltbot: What’s interesting about Clawd / Moltbot isn’t just what it does, it’s where it operates from. It’s one of the first AI tools I’ve seen get meaningful adoption at the device level, not the cloud or app layer. And provided the right guardrails are in place, it’s clearly delivering real, immediate value. Now an uncomfortable question for a lot of us startup companies right now: If AI can live on the device, do we actually need so many cloud-based tools? From what I can tell, Clawd / Moltbot is still an incomplete version of what this category of device level AI will become. Onboarding will improve, security models will mature, permission will get broader. But even in its current state, I’m seeing non-technical people set it up and get real productivity within minutes. That really matters. It suggests a big shift away from “AI as a product” toward “AI as infrastructure.” When something can sit at the device level, reading messages, drafting replies/replying, booking travel, paying bills - you name it - a lot of what we currently call AI software starts to look like features, not stand alone products. If that’s true, then a second-order effect feels inevitable. OpenAI will almost certainly build something Clawd-like themselves. Anthropic recently launched cowork. And then, one or two macOS releases later, Apple will quietly roll out the same capabilities on their devices. But with tighter security, better token efficiency, and native integration baked directly into the operating system. They’re already through phase one of this with their recent OS updates. It’s not a wild prediction, we know this Apple’s playbook. When Apple moves though, entire categories don’t slowly decline, they just… stop mattering overnight. If Clawd / Moltbot can already act as a local agent across comms, logistics, admin, etc Apple will do the same thing with an order of magnitude more trust, distribution, and control. Which means a lot of cloud-level tools may not be competing with other startups anymore. They may be competing with the operating system itself. This is how wild and destructive innovation is: From 1896 to 1930 there were more than 1,800 American car makers. Three survived. From 2009 ~25,000 cryptocurrencies have existed since Bitcoin’s launch. Today: ~100–200 have meaningful liquidity, users, or long-term relevance Fewer than 10 truly matter at an infrastructure level I think we'll see this kind of compression play out with AI. What a genuinely wild f * ing time to be alive.
