How can women build a strong cybersecurity professional network?
To start building your professional network you must be willing to attend as many "in the field" events as possible. While at the events you should be ready to ask questions that may lead to further interesting conversations. Get out of your shell and ask people about their jobs and projects because people like to talk about themselves. Make sure you get their contact information and follow up with those who you met while they still remember you. Another great way to build your professional network is to volunteer at the events related to your area of interest. While volunteering you will get to know people that can largely add value to your professional network. You can also ask to speak at the conference to meet people in your field.

United States Cybersecurity Magazine
There are not enough women being properly trained to meet the demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals; therefore, not enough women filling open positions in the cybersecurity field.
