Makes no difference what “reported crime stats” reflect. These can and are manipulated by any Police Administrators with a minimal understanding of statiscal analysis and has been for a very long time. What counts, what ls important are two other factors to determine the effectiveness of Police Operations and Public Safety: 1. Are the citizens of a community safe. Are operational steps including local judicial follow-up providing a safe, secure living environment? 2. Do the citizens, visitors, guests, residents, feel they are safe and secure from violent, predatory and opportunistic crime. Is there a perception of security and safety? Failure to accomplish both FAIL. Locally produced crime stats, however attractive and designed for presentation just cover up reality.

The Supreme Court on Friday ruled that President Donald Trump violated federal law when he unilaterally imposed sweeping tariffs across the globe, a striking loss for the White House on an issue that has been central to the president’s foreign policy and economic agenda. The decision is arguably the most important loss the second Trump administration has sustained at the conservative Supreme Court, which last year repeatedly sided with the president in a series of emergency rulings on immigration, the firing of the leaders of independent agencies and deep cuts to government spending. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion and the court agreed 6-3 that the tariffs exceeded the law. The court, however, did not say what should happen to the more than $130 billion in tariffs that has already been collected. The POTUS tariffs are illegal based on on the ruling by the Supreme Court.

This man did a great job…our “President of the USA” made these comments. Remember as leaders we are held to a higher standard. The seeds we plant whether good or bad will come back on us; the good will multiply and the bad will haunt. As a professional never stoop this low, never compromise doing the right thing when others are not doing right. I’ve seen a few in my career who compromised. It cost them greatly.

To say the Democrats have learned nothing from their defeat at the polls last November is to state the obvious. They continue to see their problem with the voters in terms of messaging. Hence they responded to their defeat at Trump's hands by hiring marketing firms to tell them how to better "speak" to the public. So, we had the infamous study on how to speak to men. Now, they spent $700 million to find out what woke words and phrases to stop using. I saw this discussed on a Youtube video of Fox News The Five. Apparently, there are now 45 words and phrases that Democrats have scrubbed from their vocabulary to make them sound like how normal Americans talk instead Harvard faculty. Out are words like "birthing person" to describe pregnant women. And, "unhoused" describe the homeless. It is thought that by not sounding like academic snobs, Democrats would seem more "authentic." Right, like authentic people need a tutorial on how to not sound like virtue signaling scolds. This exercise in rebranding of Democrat woke lingo is not making them sound more like average Americans. It makes them sound like AI robots programmed to sound like average Americans. And I believe most people can tell the difference. Take Donald Trump. He never worried about sounding "politically correct." In fact, the knock on him was that he didn't sound "presidential." One professor of speech complained Trump sounded like the guy on the stool next to you at the bar. And, that was not meant as a compliment. That Democrats have now hired a consulting firm to help them sound more like Trump is therefore both ironic and hypocritical. I also believe it won't work. The radical academic left, which is now the backbone of the Democrat Party, is still hopelessly woke. And Democrats running for office suddenly discovering that only women give birth to babies runs counter to the trans theory they have been pushing. And I see no sign that the Democrat base is giving up their attachment to non-binary language. So how are Democrat politicians going to deal with that? Are they going to have one set of words they speak to each other and another set they use when doing outreach beyond their radical base? Won't that get confusing? As the Fox News The Five panel, sans Jessica Tarlov, concluded. What really ails the Democrat Party are its policies. Policies that make living under Democrat governance a nightmare of crime, homelessness, drug addiction, high taxes, and squalor. But, Democrats remain in denial about the extent of public's dissatisfaction. They continue to respond to Trump's common sense complaints about the condition of the cities they run by claiming things are fine and all problems are being "worked on." No they aren't. Billions spent on homelessness in California have produced no results other than to make NGO's rich. Crime statistics are down, but crime is not down. Public schools are failing. And people are fleeing.

Material Support, Criminal Acts, and Terrorism — A Legal Distinction with Consequence Under 18 U.S.C. §§ 2339A–2339D, providing “material support or resources” to terrorists is one of the gravest federal offenses in U.S. law. Congress designed these statutes not merely to punish violence but to disrupt the ecosystem that enables it — the flow of money, training, logistics, and expertise that sustain designated foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs). 1. The Legal Core § 2339A criminalizes knowingly providing support for the commission of specified terrorist crimes (bombing, assassination, hostage-taking). § 2339B criminalizes knowingly providing support to an FTO — regardless of whether the assistance furthers a specific attack. The Supreme Court in Holder v. Humanitarian Law Project (2010) affirmed that even peaceful “expert advice” coordinated with an FTO constitutes prohibited material support. — “Material support or resources” includes money, training, expert advice, weapons, safehouses, personnel, or transportation — any property or service except medicine and religious materials. 2. Criminal Conduct vs. Terrorist Activity Ordinary crime violates a statute for personal gain or malice — theft, assault, or homicide committed for private motives. Terrorism, in contrast, requires intent plus ideology: an act dangerous to human life, intended to influence government policy or intimidate a civilian population. The same physical act (for example, detonation of an explosive) becomes terrorism when its purpose is political coercion rather than individual benefit. Thus, intent and political objective are the dividing line: — A bomb set for insurance fraud is a criminal act. The same bomb set to advance a political, religious, or ideological cause is terrorism under 18 U.S.C. § 2331. This distinction is critical in law: it determines jurisdiction, investigative authority, sentencing, and even whether an act triggers wartime or counter-terrorism powers. 3. The Compliance Obligation U.S. persons — private citizens, contractors, NGOs, and corporations alike — bear a strict duty to ensure that no funds, goods, or expertise reach designated terrorist entities. Ignorance of an organization’s status is not a defense if one had reason to know of its terrorist character. Penalties reach 20 years to life imprisonment, asset forfeiture, and permanent debarment from federal contracting. 4. Bottom Line Criminals seek gain; terrorists seek leverage. The law recognizes the difference — and punishes both, but terrorism more severely because it attacks the rule of law itself. Every dollar, favor, or shared file that knowingly aids a designated terrorist organization is not free speech or charity — it is a felony under U.S. law. National security begins with that clarity and proper enforcement of law!
