The Tapia Conference provides scholarships for students (undergraduate/graduate), post-docs and a limited number for faculty. To support the conference's goals of celebrating diversity in computing, scholarships are evaluated by the applicant’s level of accomplishment in computer science and the overall strength of the application and written essay. Scholarships include conference registration, meals during the conference, hotel accommodations, and a reimbursable travel stipend.

-Vassar Hackers is a student-run on-campus group that organizes trips to hackathons both in NYC and beyond. At hackathons, students spend the weekend coming up with ideas, creating a product, and pitching it to employees at top companies building skills necessary for a career in the tech industry. Vassar Hackers also organizes trips to other tech events and career fairs in the area to provide students with more networking opportunities outside of Vassar.
