“Aparna provided exceptional support and guidance in her role as the program leader of the AWS IP Academy during the critical phases of my program where we sought to significantly scale our pool of certified speakers globally. As an accountable owner for designing, implementing, and operating scalable content and workflow involved in enabling and certifying hundreds of speakers around the globe, Aparna applied customer-centric approaches to design effective self-service mechanisms for main workflow components including speaker application, progress tracking, and certification issuance processes. She also took ownership of instrumenting the core training curriculum and content for 10+ different certification topics into AWS's internal learning platform, which raised the bar for training effectiveness and trainee experiences for hundreds of senior leaders in AWS going through the certification process. Aparna also took a data-driven approach to monitor progress and analyze patterns to proactively identify bottlenecks and other inefficiencies that created friction points for the trainees. The training is targeted for senior AWS leaders to enable them engage C-level AWS customers on various topics, and the certification process involved multiple steps including self-study, session shadows, and reverse-shadow evaluations; as such, identifying and removing these blockers was especially critical for the success of the program, and Aparna surfaced valuable insights and recommendations that helped us drive highly effective and successful outcome as we scaled globally during Aparna's tenure. Beyond the domain knowledge and skills Aparna brought to the table that contributed in clear and significant ways toward my program's success, I always appreciated the can-do attitude and the lean-in posture Aparna brought to every team interaction. Aparna is authentic, warm, and empathetic, and she always operates with a "one team" attitude; my team eagerly engaged Aparna for her input and guidance. Case in point: we were actively working toward finding ways to bring her into our team when Aparna left AWS - Aparna will always be welcome in my teams!”

In the final year college project ‘Kernel Level I/O and Scheduling Optimization for Android Devices’, I concentrated on performance optimization of Android device kernel by tuning the kernel configuration, adding an optimized CPU governor and I/O scheduler and hence achieving a reduced kernel load and start-up time.
The CPU governor coded in the C programming language could adjust CPU frequency depending upon the current CPU load either by establishing an ideal frequency heuristic or by monitoring past CPU load readings.
The project describes “system level” optimization of embedded software to achieve faster boot times.
It was an opportunity to develop on the theoretical concepts of operating system that received recognition as the best project in the semester from the Computer Science department.
