The video game market has rebounded after the consolidation following the pandemic boom, but growth is more concentrated than ever. Bain’s annual Video Game Consumption Survey finds that young gamers (unsurprisingly) continue to fuel top games’ success, especially platform-style games. Their players most highly value social, creative elements and gameplay; graphics are less important. Have you tried Amazon Rufus AI tool? Did you find it helpful? My experience is that Rufus is what Amazon search should have been like many years ago. There are so many products on Amazon that you often get plenty irrelevant results (like phone covers, cleaning kits, chargers, etc. when you want to search for a new smartphone - just as one example). Rufus seems to simplify that by offering fewer (and better) options... but not sure I would applaud its supposed AI capabilities. Yes, the search is perhaps a bit more intuitive and Rufus tells you a story like "This product comes with batteries included." rather than simply stating facts like "Battery: included" in a stats list. Did I use Rufus wrongly? Is the full functionality of the tool not rolled out in the UK yet? Should I try again? Did I search for the wrong things? Should I give Rufus more time to train? I also have a nagging feeling that the results Rufus come up with are those that are most promoted rather than what you are actually looking for. Delighted to be proven wrong...

Viewture recently closed a Series A funding round led by David Blitzer’s BOLT Ventures. The U.K.-based business offers creators looking to grow their YouTube reach, engagement, and revenues advances against future earnings derived from their content. The capital enables these IP owners to fund creative projects and grow their channels without giving up any equity or taking on debt. “It’s a self-financed strategy,” David Page (founder and CEO, Viewture) said. “We provide production financing and revenue optimization strategy upfront and take a share of the revenue earned by their ambitious plans.” But Viewture’s business –and the upside it’s pursuing– isn’t limited to the Mr. Beast’s and IShowSpeed’s of the world. Teams, leagues, and sports rights holders create plenty of their own non-live video content, and the savviest ones are coming to realize there is an opportunity for them to optimize distribution of it. 'Moonvalley, an AI research company that says it is developing “ethical” foundational AI video models trained exclusively on licensed content, announced $84 million in additional funding led by existing investor General Catalyst. The round includes strategic investments from CAA and Comcast Ventures, as well as AI cloud company CoreWeave. Tony Yuan and I play ton of no build and fast paced blitz mode. Open invite to any indsutry peers who want to drop in with us. 🎮 Epic has done an incredible job positioning Fortnite as a platform, not just a game. Within the Fortnite launcher, you can play the core game and many different modes, including creator maps. Beyond Fortnite, there's Lego experiences, Rocket League, Fall Guys and Festival modes. This means many different ways for brands to engage the gaming community, similar yet different than Roblox. Alex dives into how brands are spending a lot of money on "owned" experiences with limited player counts vs. working with creators on existing maps with built in player bases. I'm a fan of "fishing where the fish are." Some brands focus on awareness, others engagement. Whatever your brands goal is, this article provides some great insights from industry leaders to help your brand get the best return on your gaming investment. “We don’t focus on brand-owned Fortnite maps. One of the things we learned quickly was, if you’re going to do a map, you need to put media behind it, and you need to put the media behind it where players are playing.
