Andreas Lips reposted thisAndreas Lips reposted thisZenobē works with Go-Ahead on bus electrification Fleet electrification and battery storage specialist Zenobē has funded more than 280 electric buses under a committed finance framework agreement (CFFA) with bus operator The Go-Ahead Group. The move is designed to significantly reduce the cost, complexity and execution of electric vehicle deployments across its operations, the company said. Zenobē and Go-Ahead Group (GAG) have been working together since 2021, and the CFFA one of the first of its kind in the bus industry – providing GAG with a pre-agreed, scalable credit line that can be drawn down as required to support its ambitious fleet electrification programme. At Zenobē, we’re seeing growing demand for smarter temporary power solutions as grid constraints become a real bottleneck across projects. By combining mobile battery systems with generators, it’s possible to reduce fuel use, lower costs, and accelerate commissioning — a practical, here-and-now solution while waiting for permanent grid connections. A good reminder that the transition goes beyond vehicles — it’s about rethinking the entire energy ecosystem. 🚀 ⚡Andreas Lips shared thisRethinking temporary power for infrastructure projects This video is a strong example from Zenobē of how temporary power is evolving and why diesel-only approaches are no longer the default. By combining mobile battery systems with generators, the team demonstrated a smarter way to energise and commission large-scale infrastructure. Andreas Lips shared thisThe latest move by the European Commission is a reminder that energy security, affordability and electrification are inseparable. Europe is responding to higher fossil fuel prices by encouraging remote work, public transit, heat pumps, solar, batteries and electric vehicles — while also setting explicit electrification targets and making electricity cheaper than fossil fuels. The United States should take note. If we want lower energy costs, stronger domestic manufacturing, cleaner air and greater resilience, we need a clear national strategy to electrify transportation, buildings and industry. That means: • Accelerating grid upgrades and transmission • Making electricity cheaper than fossil fuels through tax policy • Expanding incentives for EVs, heat pumps, batteries and charging • Supporting public transit and remote work where practical • Setting ambitious but achievable electrification targets China and Europe are moving quickly. The US has the technology, talent and entrepreneurial base to lead — but only if we act with urgency and consistency. Electrification is no longer just a climate strategy. John Williams, Chief Communications Officer, represented Workhorse and Danielle Smith from Kingsburg Truck Center shared real-world insights on how Workhorse vehicles are being deployed and operated by fleets throughout California. Workhorse also showcased a W56 #EVStepVan owned and operated by Fruitvale School District — demonstrating how purpose-built electric commercial vehicles are already supporting daily operations in California communities today. The event reinforced an important reality: these technologies are not concepts or pilot programs. #Zeroemission commercial vehicles are operating successfully on real routes, in real communities, every day. Thank you to CALSTART and Earthjustice for your leadership in coordinating the event and convening more than 40 industry representatives to help move clean transportation forward.

So does Tomas Haglund-Flemström from Autocirc, one of Europe's fastest growing car dismantlers. Both will provide their perspectives on how they create value from used batteries. It's a working session, not a conference: capped at 30, every role in the value chain in the room. You'll leave knowing which reuse pathways are genuinely credible, how a maturing market helps recyclers capture more value for everyone, and how partnerships across OEMs, recyclers, reuse companies and dismantlers create value rather than waste it. We work through it against the CES Used Battery Value Forecast — what batteries are worth at each year of their life — and test it against what the operators in the room actually see.
