Membership is open to all. Our membership ranges from serious expedition climbers, to casual backpackers, to entire families including children and grandparents.
I took the Basic Climbing Class and the Intermediate Climbing Class in 2015 and returned the next year as a volunteer instructor for BCC and co-chair for ICC. I helped organize ICC for the next two years and then reverted back to the volunteer instructor core. -

The Heroes was founded in early 2009 by a group of young theatre artists, writers, dancers and more who set out to write and produce an original play in Seattle.
Since then, The Heroes has evolved into a laboratory for new work and original events conceived by its dedicated, full-time volunteer board members and associate artists, who stress collaboration across disciplines as a core value.
As a result, The Heroes have produced reading series, short plays, a fashion show and other interdisciplinary presentations that bring together audiences as diverse as the artists involved.
A designer working with fight choreographers, a prose writer studying rappers and a choreographer contemplating natural disaster through tap dance – these are just a few of the strange mixtures that have resulted in wonderful, risk-taking work that, in our humble opinion, has done a small part to make our community a better and more exciting place for artists to work. -

See publication"Alexis Vergalla’s chapbook, Letters through Glass, is a work that is both introspective and detached. The poet’s use of language evinces an ability to view the personal through an objective lens. Her titular image is strikingly carried through to tropes and visual metaphors throughout the poems in this debut collection." - Cynthia Reeser, Prick of the Spindle
