It reminded me of using Amazon to buy a book in 1995 or riding in Uber Black in 2010- both magical experiences. Swish's ability to cook fresh food and deliver it in under 10 min is changing how people consume food in Bangalore and across India. Swish treats it as a system. Kitchens, recipes, automation, and logistics designed together — to deliver food faster, cheaper, and more reliably. India’s quick commerce boom has reset expectations around speed and convenience, but food delivery is still optimized for planned, higher-value meals. Swish is built around everyday eating, not just lunch and dinner: breakfast, snacks, chai, late-night, and solo meals. The team is not trying to out-marketplace incumbents, but compete with the home kitchen itself. With a full-stack model and dense network of micro-kitchens, Swish can deliver fresher food in minutes at price points the traditional model struggles to reach. It’s not just pulling demand from elsewhere — it’s unlocking new demand. In under 18 months, the company has scaled rapidly in Bangalore, with some of the busiest kitchens anywhere and clear signs of repeat, habit-forming usage. Today, we announced that we co-led their $38M Series B with Hara Global Capital Management. With this model, food delivery doesn’t just improve — it becomes infrastructure. Thanks to AI, it may finally be true. That's the conviction Ajay Agarwal, Amanda Huang and I developed last year, talking to Tony Zhao and Cheng Chi at Sunday about their plans to put a robot in every home. Today, Sunday is announcing its $165M Series B, and Bain Capital Ventures (BCV) is thrilled to participate. Home robotics is an incredibly challenging field. Consumers are demanding, home environments are physically diverse, and safety is paramount. Sunday brings three rare advantages to tackle this: Data: Any discussion of robotics starts with data — and the lack of it. There's no "internet of the physical world" to pre-train models, so companies must generate their own, which is time-consuming and expensive. Sunday's approach is elegant and scalable: inexpensive gloves used by a distributed workforce to create a rich dataset from American homes. Product: Memo, Sunday's robot, reflects one big decision and many smaller ones that collectively strike the right balance between simplicity and usefulness. The big decision is building a full-stack system of integrated hardware and software, rather than assembling components — think iPhone or the Model S. The smaller decisions are practical tradeoffs to get a product to market quickly: Memo has a base, not legs, to start; its hand has three fingers, not five. The result will be the first autonomous in-home robot, far ahead of others. Team: Tony and Cheng have published seminal papers on robotics and bring experience from leading companies like Tesla. But beyond that, they have a rare combination of optimism paired with practicality, of technical depth and commercial instincts, that it takes to succeed where so many prior efforts have fallen short. They've also attracted an outstanding team — Nishant Desai, Perry Jia, Raul Sampedro, Camilla Guo, Fabian Fernandez-Han, and Jenald Villena among them — who have built a creative, fun, driven culture. In a space where informality has been the norm for decades, Pronto has made very conscious choices around how they recruit, screen, train, and deploy every single Professional through their hubs across India. The result is something the Indian household help space hasn't had before, with real focus on Pros’ safety and genuine investment in their lives beyond just the job. That’s the part I want to help tell. I’m a few days in, meeting the larger team, visiting the hubs, and trying to absorb how this complex set of operations works from the inside. Board members who undermine the executive, investors that make ultimatums, supposed partners who are nowhere to be found. From nearly a decade leading Clockwise, I have precisely *zero* of those stories. I have had the privilege of working closely with three of the best investors and board members out there: Steve Loughlin, John Lilly, and Ajay Agarwal. They have been there every step of the way: when the first dollar of revenue hit our accounts, through years of a pandemic, finding emergency loans after a bank-run, interviewing dozens of execs, plotting pivots when the strategy failed, celebrating multi-million dollar raises... they were with us through all of it. I consider each of these guys a partner, mentor, and friend. When you’re raising capital, it’s far too easy to miss a fundamental truth as you’re chasing dollar amounts and term sheets: investors are forever. This is someone who will be with you until you go under, get acquired, or ring the bell. Choose wisely. If anyone reading this ever has the opportunity to work with any of these three, don’t hesitate. And to Steve, John, and Ajay: thank you for making time for what matters with me.

Not at a skiing or extreme sports event--at a wine-and-hors d'oeuvres networking event. “Out of curiosity, are you recording this event and our conversation? Why?” I asked. “Someday, we’re going to have technology that makes it easy to look up everything I’ve seen and learned.
