Use auto-created conversions in Campaign Manager

Last updated: 2 weeks ago

If you’ve set up CRM Sync to share CRM data from Business Manager or Website Actions with your LinkedIn Insight Tag, we’ll auto-create conversions for you to help reduce manual set up and provide a more seamless conversion creation experience. Auto-created conversions can be created using:

  • CRM Sync - CRM Sync auto-created conversions are based on Leads, Qualified Leads, or Contacts from your CRM data.
  • Website Actions - We identify high-value Website Actions to use for auto-created conversions.

Once auto-created conversions are created, ad sets are automatically assigned to the conversions that align with your goals.

Important to know

You must approve the assigned ad sets for your auto-created conversions before the conversion becomes Active and can be used. Until you approve the ad sets, your conversion will show as Unverified on your Conversion Tracking page.

Prerequisites

For auto-created conversions to work, you must either:

Find your auto-created conversions and approve the assigned ad sets

To review your auto-created conversions and approve the ad sets assigned to them:

  1. Go to your ad account in Campaign Manager.

  2. Click Measurement on the left menu, then click Conversion tracking.

  3. On your Conversion Tracking page, review the conversions that show Auto-created next to the conversion name.

  4. Optional: To help find your auto-created conversions, you can filter your conversions by the Data source column:

    1. Click the dropdown menu below Data source.
    2. For CRM-based conversions, select your CRM name. Currently we support Salesforce, Dynamics 365, and HubSpot.
    3. For Website Action-based conversions, select Website actions.
    4. Review the conversions with Auto-created next to the name.
  5. In the Ad sets selected column, click the number to see the ad sets associated with the conversion, then click Edit.

  6. If you’d like to change the ad sets, select or clear the checkbox next to the ad set name, then click Save.

  7. Optional: To find a specific ad set, enter the name in the search box. You can also filter by Status and Objective.

  8. Once you’ve made your updates, click the Save button.

Here's a tip

Once you’ve approved your ad sets, it can take up to 72 hours for your status to be Active. Keep in mind, we’ll only assign ad sets with Active, Draft, or Paused status.

Results: Check the number of ad sets assigned to your conversion

On the Conversion Tracking page, find your conversion and review the Ad sets selected column. You’ll see the number of ad sets assigned to your conversion.
