If you choose to Start hiring with AI, Hiring Pro will help you draft a job post. To use other features like finding and inviting qualified candidates daily or AI-assisted applicant sorting, you’ll need to promote your job. 

This feature is gradually being rolled out and may not be available to you at this time. At this time, Hiring Pro is currently available only to a subset of English-speaking members who promote their jobs.

No, you don’t have to use Hiring Pro. To opt out of Hiring Pro features, either post your job for free or go to the Job Details page, click the  icon, and select Switch to classic experience.

Hiring Pro makes recommendations based on your inputs and runs all AI-created content through our content filters. While we take safety precautions, the feature may produce surprises or mistakes. You should review all recommendations and make necessary edits. As the job poster, you and your organization are responsible for the final job post and hiring decisions, and you may need to add additional information or follow specific processes as required by law. 

No, Hiring Pro will not make hiring decisions for you. It will make recommendations and assist with tasks like drafting job descriptions, sorting applicants according to your settings, and finding and inviting candidates to apply. However, the final hiring decisions, including whom to hire, remain with you. You, the job poster, are responsible for reviewing and verifying information surfaced by Hiring Pro before making any hiring decisions.

When you are posting a job and click “Start hiring with AI,” the AI-assistant will use the job title you provide, information from your company’s LinkedIn page, and your LinkedIn profile to draft a job description for your job post. See the Learn more section below for related FAQs.  

Qualifications are generated from the job description, screening questions, and skills listed in your job post, along with LinkedIn AI insights. These qualifications are different from the qualifications you may include in your job description. 

Hiring Pro will show the list of qualifications it has generated and allow you to review and edit the qualifications. It is recommended to always review and edit the qualifications for accuracy. Note that if you edit your qualifications, that will not change your job post. Applicants that have already been advanced or rejected may not have the new qualifications. You may be legally obligated to create a new job post and start a new applicant pool. 

When you promote your job, Hiring Pro helps you find qualified candidates faster. It uses your feedback to understand your ideal candidate using the qualifications you set. These qualifications are generated from the job description, screening questions, and skills listed in your job post, and are separate from the qualifications you may write in your job description.

Hiring Pro will then suggest up to 25 candidates daily who match most of your qualifications. You can review each suggested candidate and invite them to apply, or turn on auto-invite to invite all 25 daily. With auto-invite, Hiring Pro will continue to invite its suggested candidates until you reach 10 top-fit applicants based on your qualifications. You can turn off auto-invite at any point. 

LinkedIn uses your job description and the ideal qualifications you chose for the role to identify job seekers who may be open to new opportunities. These candidates typically have the experiences, skills, and qualifications you’re looking for, as listed on their resumes and LinkedIn profiles. However, matches may not always meet your set qualifications, for example due to market conditions or possible AI inaccuracies.  

LinkedIn uses your feedback and your qualifications to refine its search for potential candidates. If a job seeker matches most of your qualifications, LinkedIn will continue to find similar candidates. If a job seeker doesn’t meet your criteria, you can provide feedback on why or adjust your qualifications. This helps improve the quality of future matches shown to you by Hiring Pro. Note that adjusting your qualifications does not change your job post.

Hiring Pro sorts applicants based on your must-have qualifications and the number of preferred qualifications the applicants meet. You can adjust the number of preferred qualifications they need to meet at any time by going to your hiring plan and clicking qualifications. 

• Top fit: Applicants who meet all the must-have qualifications and a percentage of the preferred qualifications. You can adjust the percentage at any time.  
• Not a fit: Applicants who do not meet all the must-have qualifications. 
• Maybe: Applicants who meet all the must-have qualifications but fall below your set threshold for preferred qualifications. You can adjust the percentage at any time.

It’s important to review and edit your settings for sorting applicants. In the case Hiring Pro is unsure whether a candidate meets a qualification, this will be indicated by a grey question mark (?). 

Hiring Pro will evaluate a candidate’s profile and will provide a Qualification Match rating for each qualification. You will be shown these ratings, and their corresponding icons, when reviewing candidates. The four possible ratings per qualification will be:

• Match (green checkmark icon) - the candidate meets the qualification criteria
• Partial (half checkmark icon) - the candidate shows some evidence or matches part of the qualification
• Not a match (X icon) - the candidate does not meet the qualification criteria
• Cannot evaluate (question mark icon) - the information was not specific enough to draw a conclusion

To see the source of the qualification details, click “Show more details” while reviewing each applicant’s qualifications. This will display whether the information comes from the candidate's LinkedIn profile, resume (either submitted with application, or stored on LinkedIn), or screening questions (if applicable).

You can manually review and adjust the sorting of applicants, modify your qualifications, or change the top applicant threshold. Adjusting your qualifications or top applicant threshold will change the sorting of your applicants. 

Note: You cannot move an applicant to Maybe.

Yes, updating your qualifications will change how Hiring Pro sorts your applicants and finds new job seekers to invite. This process may take several hours, and actions taken on applicants during this time will not be saved. Note that if you edit your qualifications, that will not change your job post. Applicants that have already been advanced or rejected may not have the new qualifications. You may be legally obligated to create a new job post and start a new applicant pool. 

AI-generated summaries are short overviews created with the help of AI to highlight key information about a candidate's LinkedIn profile, resume and/or application. While AI-generated summaries can be very helpful, they may occasionally contain inaccuracies. It is important to review the original sources to ensure all information is correct.

The Hiring Plan tab provides an overview of your hiring process, including applicant statistics, job details, budget, and helpful links. It allows you to: 

• Review all applicants 
• Track how many candidates you've invited to apply, either manually or through auto-invite 
• Monitor your spending or close your job 
• Contact LinkedIn support
