Invitations to follow a LinkedIn Page

Last updated: 5 months ago

You can grow the followers of a Page by inviting your 1st-degree connections to follow the Page. With a Premium Company Page subscription, you can also invite non-connections, including followers of similar Pages and people who engaged with your content. We recommend that Pages have at least 150 followers to help optimize growth, and invitations can help you reach your follower goals.

The person who receives the invitation can see the name of the person who sent the invite, except for auto-invites to people who engaged with your content.

Members can opt out of receiving invitations to follow Pages from their Data Privacy settings. Members can also turn off invitation notifications from their notification settings.

Pages you manage

To invite connections to follow a Page that you manage, you must be a super or content admin. There are three ways to invite people to follow your Page:

  • 1st-degree connections – We recommend only inviting connections who are likely to be interested in the Page.
  • Followers of similar Pages (Premium Company Page only) – Invite members who follow Pages like yours, including Pages in your industry, near your location, and with a similar number of employees. We’re gradually making this feature available, and you might not have access to it at this time.
  • Content engagers (Premium Company Page only) – Automatically invite members who engage with your content, including members who publicly reacted, commented on, or shared your Page's posts in the past 30 days.

Pages are granted monthly invitation credits which are shared across all admins of the Page. Auto-invites to content engagers don’t use any credits.

Your employer’s Page

If you aren’t an admin of a Page, you can invite up to 30 of your 1st-degree connections to follow your employer’s Page each month.

Other Pages

If you aren’t the admin or employee of a Page, you can invite up to 50 of your 1st-degree connections each month to follow Pages that have fewer than 5,000 followers.

Here's a tip

If you receive an error message when you send an invite, you might have reached your monthly invitation credit limit. You’ll need to wait until the first day of the next month for the credits to renew. When someone accepts your invitation, that credit is returned to your balance.
