Best practices for selecting a LinkedIn service provider

Last updated: 2 years ago

You can find service providers on LinkedIn with skills relevant to your projects. Start working with a provider by sending them a request for a proposal (RFP).

After you receive proposals, consider the following tips to help you select a provider:

  • Review the proposal - Make sure the provider clearly addressed your needs.

  • Ask about prices - Since prices in proposals are often estimates, discuss the details of the project with the provider to get a more exact price. Providers can also choose to show the starting hourly rate for their services on their Service Page. Price ranges are not a guarantee of the final cost.

  • Review their Service Page - View the provider’s experience and service reviews to understand their level of expertise.

  • Ask for clarification - Clarify the details of the proposal to get all necessary information.

After clicking on a provider in a services search result, you’ll be directed to their Service Page so you can message them directly.
