Check out who is searching for you by going to your profile search appearance feature.

Access profile search appearances

Search appearances data gives you a high-level view of your visibility on LinkedIn. Reviewing this information can help you understand how well your profile is optimized for search and make updates to improve your chances of being discovered for relevant roles or connections.

Before you start

  • Data updates weekly on Wednesdays. 
  • You can access this feature:  
    • From your notifications or email. 
    • On your profile page in the Analytics section.

Here's a tip

Please use the Where you appeared (default) dropdown under Profile appearances to choose between Top companies your searchers work at, Top job titles of your searchers, and Job titles you were found for. This will show you details about where your searches are coming from.

Using Search appearances 

  • View the total number of times your profile appeared in LinkedIn search results. 
  • Review aggregated insights about searchers, including:  
  • Top companies 
  • Job titles

Improving visibility 

  • Keep your profile updated with your latest experience and skills. 
  • Add relevant keywords to your headline and summary. 
  • Monitor changes in your Search appearances data after profile updates to see if visibility improves.

Difference from Who’s Viewed Your Profile 

  • Search appearances shows how often your profile appeared in search results. It does not show who clicked your profile. 
  • Who’s viewed your profile displays visitors to your profile in the last 90 days. Premium members get more detailed insights.

Notes 

  • Search appearances data is aggregated. Individual names are not shown. 
  • Who’s viewed your profile may show individual viewers based on their privacy settings and your subscription level.
