Downgrade your Premium Subscription plan

Last updated: 2 months ago

You can downgrade your Premium subscription to a lower-tier plan on LinkedIn. Keep in mind that downgrading removes access to features included in your current plan.

Before you start

  • Where to downgrade: You can only downgrade through the LinkedIn desktop site
  • Eligible plans: Downgrading is available for:
  • Premium Business
  • Sales Navigator Core
  • Sales Navigator Advanced (single active seat)
  • Not eligible: You cannot downgrade if you have a Premium Career subscription.
  • Billing impact: Your billing cycle resets immediately when you switch plans. You’ll pay the price for the new plan starting that day.

To downgrade your Premium subscription:

  1. Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

  2. Select Premium features from the dropdown.

  3. You’ll be redirected to the Manage Premium account settings page.

  4. Click Subscription details on the left pane under Resources.

    • You’ll be redirected to LinkedIn Admin Center.
  5. Click Purchases on the left pane.

  6. Select your Active subscription.

  7. Click Switch plans Under Actions.

  8. Click Explore other plans on the upper left or select from the subscription plans displayed on the page.

  9. Select a plan (that is lower than the existing plan) from the Explore other plans pop-up window and click Apply.

  10. Click Downgrade plan on the Premium subscription you’d like to downgrade to.

  11. Follow the prompts to complete the downgrade.

Expected result

Your subscription will switch to the new plan immediately, and your billing cycle will restart based on the downgraded plan’s price.

Troubleshooting

  • Can’t find downgrade option? Ensure you’re on the LinkedIn desktop site and have an eligible plan.
  • Downgrade unavailable? You may have a Premium Career subscription, which cannot be downgraded.
