Software & Security Engineering Internships are live! Fifteen software engineering interns recently completed their summer internship at Twitch. The 2024 cohort participated in a variety of activities, including pair coding, chocolate making, an Engineering summit, an Alcatraz tour, deejaying for the company All Hands, and in true program tradition, presenting their Kappastone projects at the end of the summer. We had an absolute blast and are lucky to have hosted such talented students. To celebrate the opening of the 2025 internship application season, last year's Twitch interns were asked to share their favorite memories and application advice. Live Now! It has been a great way to meet everyone. Advice to Interns: Just be yourself! Everyone wants to hear about your unique experiences and values; share what you're passionate about and what makes you you. Gabrielle Chang Client Delivery Platform / Software Engineering / California Institute of Technology Favorite Memory: I met a ton of people during the first week of the internship. All interns get assigned a bunch of 'buddies': I had lunch buddies, onboarding buddies, even alum buddies from my school. It was great setting up 1/1's with all the members of my team and hearing about the interesting work that they do. Advice to Interns: The Twitch application process stood out to me, because it felt so personable. There were multiple chances to talk to Tom, and ask any questions about the upcoming interviews, timelines, etc. I would take advantage of these opportunities, even if the question is small. People here really want you to succeed! Stay tuned for more internship openings and to hear from more of our intern alumni.
Twitch Good day. I am writing to bring to your attention several serious violations on Twitch within the CIS region (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, etc.) concerning services and products advertised by streamers with audiences ranging from 300 to 40,000 concurrent viewers. These violations pose a significant risk of both regional issues (similar to those currently faced by Discord in the Russian Federation) and reputational damage. Additionally, I have identified instances of streamers promoting services designed to circumvent US sanctions. I would like to know to whom I should submit a formal report, including a cover letter, a list of offenders with supporting evidence, and my proposed solutions. P.S. I created a LinkedIn account specifically to reach out to Twitch representatives, so I may not be familiar with the nuances of interacting on this platform.
The Twitch internship program looks an incredible experience! The opportunity to collaborate on impactful projects while learning from talented engineers is something I truly admire. I recently applied for the 2025 Data Science Internship and would love to contribute my skills in Python, SQL, and problem-solving to Twitch’s engineering team. Looking forward to the chance to be part of such an innovative environment.

I'm thrilled to hear about the internship program at Twitch! As a Twitch streamer myself, I found Jasmine and Gabrielle's insights inspiring. Their experiences highlight the team's genuine nature and the opportunities to connect with others. It's exciting to see how supportive the community is. Best of luck to everyone applying for the 2025 internship!
