A winning debut at one of ultrarunning’s toughest races. New Zealand ultrarunner and Amazfit athlete Ruth Croft won the women’s race at the 2026 Diagonale des Fous, an endurance trail race across the mountainous island of Réunion in the Indian Ocean. After withdrawing from UTMB earlier this season, Ruth completed her first Diagonale des Fous in 27:13:23, finishing 11th overall across men and women, and more than an hour ahead of the second-placed woman. Her Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra recorded: 📍 181.37 km of distance ⛰️ 10,483 m of cumulative elevation gain ⏱️ More than 27 hours of racing Steep ascents, technical descents, and prolonged fatigue demand careful pacing and effort. Ruth’s performance demonstrates the physical endurance and judgment required to compete over these distances. Amazfit athlete Josh Kerr has officially been crowned World Ultimate Champion, taking the men’s 1500 m title in Budapest in 3:29.35. The inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship brought together the world’s best athletes in a new, high-stakes format designed to determine the ultimate champion. Against an exceptional field, Josh timed his move perfectly, taking the lead with 300 metres remaining and holding it all the way to the line. Already a two-time Olympic medalist, world champion, and mile world record holder, Josh continues to pursue an ambitious goal: to keep pushing the limits of middle-distance running and see how fast he can go. His approach is grounded in consistency, intelligent preparation, and a deep understanding of when to push and when to recover. That philosophy sits at the heart of our partnership. At the foot of Mont Blanc, Chamonix becomes the global heart of trail running, where elite athletes, everyday runners, and supporters from around the world come together for one of the sport’s defining weeks. The flagship UTMB takes runners 174 km around Mont Blanc, across France, Italy, and Switzerland, with more than 9,900 metres of elevation gain and up to 46 hours and 45 minutes to reach the finish line. Amanal Petros is the European Marathon Champion. 🥇 A huge congratulations to Amazfit athlete Amanal Petros, who claimed European Marathon gold in Birmingham. Less than a year after missing World Championship gold by the narrowest of margins in a photo finish, Amanal returned to the marathon stage and made this one his. This time, there was no photo finish - 2:09:11, a new championship record, and European gold by seven seconds. An incredible performance and a well-earned place at the top of the European podium.
