What if you could see how shoppers behave inside a 3D retail experience, as it happens? In this demo, a user explores a mock store environment built in Mattercraft, picks up products and interacts with the scene. At the same time, Cognitive3D captures the session data, showing how those actions appear inside the analytics dashboard. For teams building immersive retail, product research or shopper engagement experiences, this is where XR gets much more measurable. Not just who launched the experience. What they looked at. What they picked up. Where they moved. What they did next. Join our upcoming webinar with Cognitive3D to see how Mattercraft projects can be connected to deeper spatial analytics. On GAAD (Global Accessibility Awareness Day) Foundation, it's a day to think about how and what we can do to make sure everyone can experience everything in a fair and dignified way – whether you work in technology, like me, or manufacturing, it's all of our responsibility to ensure everybody can enjoy what we're individually passionate about. Accessibility is about communities, whether it's family, friends or colleagues, have a think about how you can make a change that can positively affect their quality of life. If everyone thinks about just one thing that makes a difference, we can build a world where nobody feels left out. Drop me a comment on what you've done or what you think you can do to make a difference today. Something I heard that resonates with me today is: "It is not the minorities' responsibility to educate the majority", Ella Fitzsimmons (Government Digital Services) #GAAD #accessibility #technology

Global Accessibility Awareness Day is an important moment to pause and look at accessibility in its full context. Too often, it is treated as a website issue or a one-day conversation, when in reality it shapes how people move through spaces, access information, use products, and navigate everyday experiences. GAAD exists to get people talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion, and that remains an important prompt for any business designing connected experiences today. What matters now is moving beyond narrow definitions. Accessibility does not begin and end with a screen. It reaches into packaging, signage, navigation, data, and the quality of the information people receive at the moment they need it. As regulation tightens and connected touchpoints become more common, accessibility is becoming less about isolated fixes and more about whether organisations can build inclusive experiences consistently, clearly and at scale. That broader view is reflected in the work we have been proud to support across both places and products. In connected workplaces, this has meant helping digitise office environments with Accessible QR, powered by Mi-View360 and Zappar, to create more inclusive, standardised wayfinding across locations. On pack, it has meant supporting the rollout of Accessible QR programmes that help people who are blind or have low vision identify products, access instructions and engage with information more independently. These are different environments, but the underlying principle is the same: accessibility works best when it is built into the system, not added at the edge. That is also where governance matters. CEC’s view is that accessibility has to be maintainable, measurable and repeatable if it is going to hold up across markets, teams and touchpoints. Mi-View360 has been designed around that reality: bringing together workflows, accessibility, governance and data into one managed layer so connected products and places stay consistent over time. On GAAD 2026, that feels like the more meaningful conversation to have: not whether accessibility matters, but whether we are building it in a way that can genuinely last. #ConnectedPackaging #ConnectedExperiences #GAAD

Nesquik packs have entered the chat. And they brought football boots.⚽ Our latest WebAR game is out in the wild, turning packs into a swipe-happy football challenge with kit customisation, power-ups, penalty shootouts, training drills and a trophy moment worthy of the breakfast table. It’s breakfast, but with more dribbling (the football kind, obviously).

As someone who’s registered blind, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve had to rely on someone else just to get from A to B in a new building. So having Zapworks Spaces nominated for an Auggie Award for Most Ethical Product feels like a really meaningful moment for what we’re building. What I like about Spaces isn’t just the tech (although sub-5cm accuracy and turn-by-turn guidance are pretty great). It’s the thinking behind it. No app to download, no complicated setup and no “accessibility mode” buried in settings. You just scan a QR code or tap a link, and you’re in, with voice-guided navigation that actually helps you move through a space independently Quite frankly, that’s the difference. It’s not about adding accessibility later; it’s about designing for it from the start. And beyond that, it gives people the chance to explore somewhere before they even arrive, which can make a huge difference in confidence, especially for neurodiverse users or anyone who finds new environments overwhelming. Proud to be part of a team building something that doesn’t just work, but works for more people. If you fancy giving us a nudge towards the finals, voting only takes 30 seconds: 1) Head here: https://bit.ly/4tH3Dg4 2) Create an account 3) Tap the ❤️ button for Zapworks Spaces Appreciate it 🙌

This week on The AI/XR Podcast, Caspar Thykier Thykier, CEO and co-founder of Zappar , has been building in XR since 2010. His take on how to survive 16 years in a space that has restructured itself every two to three years: "In XR, you've gotta be a bit cockroach-y. You've somehow gotta survive not getting squished." The companies that fell by the wayside had good technology. The differentiator for the ones that made it through wasn't the technology — it was the relentless focus on genuine utility. Not AR for a demo. AR for a real problem that someone with a real job needs solved. Caspar's other reflection: the industry hasn't always been great at explaining what AR actually does for a specific end user, which is why "AR can do everything" often landed as "I don't know what to do with it." The clarity is finally arriving. Watch the full conversation on the AI XR Podcast. #XR #AI #AIXRPodcast #Zappar #SpatialComputing
