This entire cyberpunk world was built by a single creator. 🤯 100 million Gaussian splats. Nearly every surface and structure generated in Marble. We’re entering an era where individuals can build entire worlds. 🌎 AI tools shouldn’t be linear. They should empower small teams, and even solo creators, to dream bigger through iterative creation, editing, and exploration. That’s the kind of workflow that unlocks entirely new creative possibilities. Shoutout to the world builder José Tijerin for his amazing work 🤩 more worlds loading.
About us
World Labs is a spatial intelligence company building Large World Models (LWMs) to perceive, generate, and interact with the 3D world. We aim to lift AI models from the 2D plane of pixels to full 3D worlds – both virtual and real – endowing them with spatial intelligence as rich as our own. We believe that humans are innovative, curious, and creative; science and technology are both manifestations and drivers of these impulses. Propelling AI forward with spatial intelligence will also propel forward both individuals and humanity as a whole. Toward this goal, World Labs will develop spatially intelligent LWMs that can understand and reason about the 3D world from images and other modalities. Over time, we expect to train increasingly powerful models with broader capabilities that can be applied in a variety of domains, working alongside people. These are ambitious goals, so we are building an ambitious company to tackle them. Our team, led by co-founders Fei-Fei Li, PhD; Justin Johnson, PhD; Christoph Lassner, PhD; and Ben Mildenhall, PhD, has a strong research background, but we are not motivated by exploration for its own sake. Instead, we believe that now is a unique moment where rapid scientific progress has thinned the barrier between research and applications. We aim to seize this opportunity, focusing on the entire throughline from research to engineering to product to people. We are bringing together the most formidable slate of pixel talent ever assembled, creating a tight feedback loop between our spatially intelligent foundation models and products that will empower our users. We invite you to learn more about joining our fast-growing team.

Honored to be recognized by Fast Company as one of the Most Innovative Companies of 2026. We’re ranked #4 in Artificial Intelligence and #22 overall. https://lnkd.in/gKNe2DP6 At World Labs, we’re building frontier models to advance spatial intelligence, unlocking new possibilities across storytelling, creativity, robotics, and scientific discovery. To change the world, we need more talent who aren't afraid of the impossible. Come build the future with us: https://lnkd.in/gcRyXu6c

With Chisel, you can keep the same structure and explore completely different worlds. Ancient tomb 🏺 → lava cavern 🌋 → overgrown ruins 🌿 Same layout, totally different feel. Chisel lets you block out a 3D layout and generate a detailed world on top, so you define the space first and then bring it to life. In this demo, we used that workflow to build and explore a range of environments with off-axis projection, all running in the browser. Pipeline: → Block out structure in Blender or directly in Chisel → Use Chisel to generate a detailed environment from that layout → Bring it into Three.js and use Spark for rendering → Use Mediapipe for face tracking to enable off-axis projection You can go from a rough spatial idea to something you can actually move around in very quickly. Been experimenting with procedural locomotion on #GaussianSplat environments from World Labs. Built a little multi-legged robot in Unity that raycasts directly against the splat data to figure out where to place its feet, no meshes or colliders involved. It probes the terrain, plans footholds, and adapts its gait in real time. It can climb surfaces, walk on walls, and you can even change the number of legs on the fly. Still rough around the edges but pretty fun to watch it figure things out :) #GaussianSplatting #Unity3D #WorldLabs #ProceduralAnimation

The Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale vision is becoming real. We are currently building a mixed reality project that transforms physical rooms into stylized virtual spaces using AI-driven generation tools such as https://www.worldlabs.ai/ , together with open-source projects including https://lnkd.in/g2dDWebP and https://lnkd.in/gP95csH9 Our current prototype can replace a real indoor room with a coherent stylized virtual environment. The visual results are promising, and the system already demonstrates stable spatial integration. We are now working on automatically aligning the virtual room with the physical space and implementing multiplayer functionality within the shared scene. The next phase is expanding beyond indoor environments toward outdoor scenarios, potentially combining large-scale AR scenes or map-based spatial data. The long-term goal is to explore scalable AI-generated spatial computing experiences that merge generative environments, mixed reality, and persistent multiplayer interaction. Qinchuan Zhang Weibo Xu

Exploring cozy worlds 🍀 with 24 million Gaussian splats. This scene was generated with Marble and then stitched together in Marble Studio, our tool for composing and editing large environments. It’s rendered directly in the browser using our Spark 2.0 developer preview. Spark uses level-of-detail (LoD) techniques to efficiently stream and render scenes of this scale in real time. Take a walk through it yourself: https://lnkd.in/gNcgh2T2

70 hackers joined us in SF for the first-ever World Labs Hackathon. In just 3.5 hours, 32 teams used Marble for projects ranging from robotics sims and agents to AR/VR interfaces, games, art experiences, and real estate tools. Check out what they built 👇 🥇 Musée du Monde — an interactive museum where visitors step inside famous paintings. From Van Gogh’s bedroom to worlds inspired by Vermeer and Matisse, each artwork becomes a fully explorable 3D environment generated with Marble. https://lnkd.in/gPbm3JrV 🥈 Jar of Marbles — a semantic interface for organizing Marble worlds into clusters like realistic vs geometric or vast vs intimate, explored using computer vision gesture controls. https://lnkd.in/g3uMeGeK 🥉 Augmented Virtuality Room - uses Marble worlds as simulation environments for robotics. A robot explores with raycast LiDAR, builds a semantic map, and comments on the environment in real time. https://lnkd.in/gt69PpXS 👏 Honorable mentions: Marble Estates, Holocrime, Inkling, and Blocks. Huge thank you to all the hackers who joined us for WL-HACK 01. This event was about bringing together builders excited about the future of world models and spatial intelligence. The creativity and range of ideas we saw in just a few hours was incredible.
