What Palesa Lits'iba shares here is exactly what we’re continuing to build at Women Techmakers, a global community where support is accessible and constant. From Maputo to everywhere this community shows up. 💙
Definitely a late post, I know😅✨but this past week I was reminded of this moment I’ll forever cherish. Last year, I helped organise, and also attended the International Women’s Day event we had in Maputo, Mozambique 🇲🇿. I have been carrying this memorable time with me ever since. The most memorable part was getting to meet in person, my fellow amazing Women Techmakers Southern Africa Region board😁💯, that has played a big part in shaping my journey in this community🫶🏼✨ One of the hardest parts of this path is feeling like you’re figuring it out alone, but trust me, that’s never the case. The Maputo event reminded me that when you have such amazing people around you, there’s no way you can ever feel like you’re doing things on your own.🫂✨ To every woman in tech finding her way: your community exists out there. Find it, and hold on to it✨it’ll all be worth it in the long run. Grateful for Women Techmakers and for every connection that reminds me why being part of a community matters🫶🏼. #WomenTechmakers #WTMAmbassador #WomenInTech #IWD2025

WTM Abuja continues to show what community-driven momentum can create.
Can i please have 4 minute of your time ? i promise it's worth it ! One week ago, women and girls broke the pattern. Not with words with proof. 350+ girls and women. One stage. Real projects. Real work. From 8-year-olds building their first tech solutions as part of Technovation, to teenage girls in our AI for Her program at Afrotechxcel who trained, built, and understood what they created, to women in Women Techmakers WTM Abuja presenting and winning. They didn't just attend. They showcased. They explained. They owned it. This is what happens when you create the right environment. It was captured and all 4 minutes are worth your time. Grateful to our guest judges, my mentor Engr. Stella Uzochukwu, The International Award for Young People Nigeria, and the FCT Secondary Education Board. Events end. Impact doesn't. ❤️

Moments like this are what #BreakThePattern is all about. Growth that comes from showing up, doing the work, and reflecting on what it means for your future. That is how paths begin to take shape. We would love to hear more stories like this. What has your #BreakThePattern moment looked like?
Pattern Broked at BIT MESRA, Ranchi!!! 🏆🥈 Winning 2nd position at the "Break The Pattern" event organised by Google Developer Group Ranchi in collaboration with Women Techmakers at BIT Mesra feels truly special—not just because of the achievement, but because of everything it represents.✨ Our team “Out Of Scope”—came together with one AI idea and a shared belief, and that belief brought us to the stage. From brainstorming sessions to the final pitch, every moment was filled with learning, excitement, and growth. What made this experience even more meaningful was that it was part of the International Women’s Day celebration. Listening to inspiring stories from incredible personalities like Dr Divya Rajput, Aprajita Verma, Srushti Raybhoge, Stella Mary, Megha Pandey and Jyoti Agrawal reminded me that success is built on courage, resilience, and consistency. Their journeys truly inspired us to think bigger and push beyond limits. One of the most memorable part of the event for me was the “Letter to Future Self” activity. Writing a letter to my future self made me pause, reflect, and truly think about who I want to become, what I want to achieve, and the kind of strength I hope to carry forward. It was a simple yet powerful reminder of growth, dreams, and self-belief. This win is not just a milestone, but a reminder that stepping out of your comfort zone always leads to something meaningful. I’m deeply grateful to the jury for believing in our idea and giving us this opportunity. And to my team Richa ., AYUSH kumar, Ved Pratap Singh —thank you for the collaboration, trust, and energy. This wouldn’t have been possible without all of us working together. This is just the beginning… many more ideas, collaborations, and wins ahead. 🚀 GDG on Campus RCET Bhilai Rungta College of Engineering & Technology Kohka-Kurud Bhilai Rahul Bhargava Dr. Huma Khan Dr. Ajay Kushwaha Dr.Tripti Sharma Eaisly Kriti Priya WTM #BreakThePattern #GDGRanchi #WTM #WomenInTech #BITMesra #OutOfScope #TeamWork

Accessibility is inherently innovative. At #BreakThePattern events around the world, communities are rethinking what inclusion in tech really looks like. That includes making sure everyone can participate fully. Thank you to DeafTawk for partnering as an Inclusivity Partner and helping make International Women’s Day programming more accessible through sign language interpretation. Efforts like this remove communication barriers and ensure more voices are part of the conversation shaping the future of technology. #WomenTechmakers #Accessibility #Inclusion #IWD2026
DeafTawk served as the Inclusivity Partner for IWD’26, supporting an event that champions accessibility, equality, and meaningful participation for all. We love a good “I didn’t see that coming” moment in tech. ✨ For Bhoomi Vaghasiya Gadhiya, it started with a blog. While learning Jetpack Compose, Bhoomi noticed there weren’t many resources available, so she wrote one to help other developers learning alongside her. That blog caught the attention of a Google Developer Group organizer, who invited her to speak at an event. But there was a twist! Bhoomi is an introvert who had never spoken in front of even 10 people. She said yes anyway. Soon, she was on stage presenting to 70+ developers and discovering the joy of sharing knowledge with the community. That moment sparked something bigger. Today, Bhoomi is a Women Techmakers Ambassador and Lead Android Engineer at Box Box Club®. She even went on to organize her first International Women’s Day event in 2025, bringing women together to learn, support each other, and grow in tech. Thank you, Bhoomi, for the reminder to: - Write the blog. - Share what you know. - Say yes to the stage. You never know who might need what you have to teach. #WomenTechmakers #WomenInTech #WTMAmbassador #AndroidDev

This International Women’s Day, Women Techmakers communities around the world came together for #BreakThePattern. 💙 And it was powerful to witness. From local meetups to workshops and panel conversations, our WTM Ambassadors created spaces where women and allies could show up, share their stories, learn from each other, and build new connections in tech. We saw communities gathering to exchange knowledge, talk honestly about their journeys, and encourage more women to step forward as builders, leaders, and innovators. That’s what makes this community so special. To every Women Techmakers Ambassador who planned an event, brought people together, and helped create these moments, thank you. Your leadership is what keeps this community growing. #WomenTechmakers #BreakThePattern #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInTech
