  • ENGLISH (Desliza para Español) Our existence is resistance! During the Women Deliver conference in Naarm, Women Enabled International organized a public meet-up with Feminist Disabled Changemakers. Our goal was to embody unity, solidarity, and strength, while bringing visibility to the disability justice movement at this major global event. Showing up and being seen, heard and felt is the first step of activism. If women, girls, and gender-diverse people with disabilities remain invisible, how will the world know what is still needed to achieve true equity? We are creators. We are leaders. We are a collective. We are not alone. Our voices matter. From everyone at WEI: thank you to everyone who joined us and helped bring disability justice to the forefront. Special thanks to Gianna Mastrolinardo and Our Collective Practice for the text “Fantasía lisiada” ESPAÑOL Nuestra existencia es resistencia. Somos creadoras. Somos líderes. Somos un colectivo. No estamos soles. Nuestras voces importan. • Español abajo ENGLISH. The intersection where feminism meets disability is one of the most overlooked. No wonder we are driven by a transformative rage—a collective force that questions power, demands accountability, and brings these vital issues to global stages. We need to provide resources to the voices of those most affected NOW. Current solutions are being proposed, but they often fail to keep women, girls, and gender-diverse people with disabilities in mind. This is why the interventions of Maryangel García-Ramos, WEI’s Executive Director, during the plenary “From Resistance to Renewal: Seizing the Moment to Build a Feminist Future” at @Women_Deliver in Naarm, Australia, are so crucial. It was an opportunity to stand firm and shed light on us: on our revolutionary power. It’s about the necessity of listening and co-creating programs with us in the room, and the urgent need for sustainable, long-term financial support for feminists with disabilities worldwide. We are here. We are disabled and proud. And we are just getting started. Nothing about us without us. #WD2026 #WomenDeliver #LeadingOurOwnLiberation

  • ENGLISH - (DESLIZA PARA ESPAÑOL) Feminist disabled changemakers and activists are fueled by hope and rage. Rage because we are still fighting for the recognition of our right to occupy spaces. Hope comes from watching us all hack the system, hack spaces and hack every opportunity we get to get our voices and words heard. For the future of gender to move forward, we need not only allies in good places: we need systems that understand that ONLY with women, girls, and gender-diverse people with disabilities at the center can we move forward. We are in this together. We will put our bodies so they all can listen. NOTHING ABOUT US WITHOUT US! #WD2026 #DisabilityFunding #DisabilityRights #LeadingOurOwnLiberation #DisabilityJustice #OurExistanceIsResistance
