We are heartbroken to share the passing of Bela Apparao Labovitch, a leader in technology, a champion for women, and an early believer in the mission of Women Applying AI. Bela understood something deeply important: that women need a voice, a community, and a place to build confidence in this next era of technology. Bela was the first leader who believed in WAAI and sponsored our seedling organization together with athenahealth. She came to the launch event to provide personal support in September 2025, an event that created the momentum for what has now become a growing global community of more than 1,800 women learning, applying, and shaping AI together. That support mattered. It helped open the door for women at every stage of their AI journey, from AI curious to deeply technical, to come together, learn from one another, and see themselves as active participants in the future of AI. Bela’s impact will continue to ripple through this community. Every woman who found encouragement at that launch event, every connection that began in that room, every person who has since joined this movement; all of that is part of her legacy. We are deeply grateful for Bela’s belief in this work, her generosity, and the example she set as a woman in technology who used her influence to lift others. Our hearts are with Bela’s family, friends, colleagues, and all who loved her. Memorial link in Comments.

On May 28th, our CEO & Co-Founder Luda Kopeikina is joining a panel at MIT Sloan School of Management on "Be Market Ready in the Age of AI: Hiring, Talent, and Career Advancement". Please see Luda's post below to register.
Excited to be joining a panel at MIT Sloan School of Management next week during the MIT Sloan Reunion. And the topic couldn't be more timely. The panel — “Be Market Ready in the Age of AI: Hiring, Talent, and Career Advancement” — will explore questions many professionals are quietly wrestling with right now: • What actually makes someone “AI-ready”? • What are hiring managers really looking for? • How do you stay competitive? • What becomes the differentiator when AI gives everyone access to extraordinary capabilities? One of the biggest shifts I’m seeing is this: Organizations are no longer simply looking for people who use AI. They are increasingly looking for people who can combine domain expertise, judgment, and AI fluency to create disproportionate value. In many cases, the real competitive advantage is no longer “I know this industry deeply.” It is: “I know how to reinvent value creation in this industry with AI.” I will be on stage alongside an exceptional group: → Chris Mannion (MBA '16), Founder, Meander — facilitating → Wendi X. Zhang (BS '09), Leadership Advisory, Exec/Board Search → Robin Ganek (MBA '15), VP of People, Lexington Medical If you're an MIT Sloan alum, I hope to see you on May 28 at 1:15pm at Sloan! #MITSloan #AI #CareerDevelopment #FutureOfWork #WomenApplyingAI #Leadershipndi

WAAI Co-Founder & CMO Pam Boiros of Bridge Marketing Advisors shares insights on digital transformations in marketing, how AI Literacy is the antidote to workplace fear, and more in an interview with Nowspeed Marketing. Please see post below for link to interview.
"AI is a team sport." Most companies have handed their teams an AI tool and said "figure it out" — and that's exactly why they're not seeing results. David Reske asked fractional CMO Pam Boiros a simple but powerful question: What does it really mean that the heart of AI transformation is people? Her answer reframes everything. Unlike every other marketing technology before it — automation platforms, ABM tools, HubSpot certifications — AI isn't an individual skill you go off and master. It's a workflow transformation that requires everyone, from the senior leader to the most junior coordinator, to reimagine how work gets done. And because people are scared — about job security, about being left behind — leaders can't treat this as a technology rollout. They have to treat it as a people transformation.
