What happens when your keyboard and microphone have a baby raised by AI wizards? Short answer: a magic tool called Wispr Flow It's a frictionless voice-to-text dictation tool that's pure joy to use. Unless for some reason you prefer typing (which I most certainly do NOT). Here's what makes Wispr Flow special: — It's context aware so output is optimized for email, text msg, or formal docs — It handles proper names and special terms with astonishing accuracy — It learns from your corrections and so it gets even more accurate over time Once I started using Wispr Flow was instantly enthralled. And even though the free version is great, I decided to upgrade to get access to the iOS app. I hate typing on my smartphone so it was a no brainer. Anyway... If you shoot me a DM and I'll send you a link that enables you to get a month free on the Pro plan if you decide to upgrade from the free one.

Google shut down his first startup at 10 y/o. Now, he's building a real version of Jarvis from Iron Man. Tanay Kothari, founder of Wispr Flow. 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 At 10 years old, Tanay was obsessed with Jarvis in Iron Man. He wanted to bring a fictional character to real life. A friend casually asked, “𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘵?” So he did. Tanay Kothari pulled his first all-nighter. What started as a simple project became one of the first AI-powered voice assistants, pre-dating Siri and Alexa. It scaled to 2.5 million users. Then, Google shut it down. That might have been the end. But for Tanay, it was just the beginning. 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 Instead of giving up, Tanay doubled down. He spent his teenage years shipping 50+ apps. At Stanford, he co-founded FeatherX (Acquired), a personalized browser assistant. But when COVID-19 hit, the market collapsed. FeatherX was acquired. Suddenly, at 22 years old, Tanay found himself leading teams with people twice his age. It was trial by fire. Managing a team was a whole different game than building alone. By the time he left, he had not only earned the trust of his team, but also learned how to lead. 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗯 For 10+ years, one question never left his mind: “What if computers felt as natural as talking to a friend?” "What if I could build Jarvis again?" When GPT-3 launched, the timing was perfect. Tanay and his college roommate, Sahaj Garg, built the first prototype of Wispr. They iterated through 8 different versions before landing on the current idea. The turning point was when they deeply explored this question: "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘥𝘰? 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘺𝘱𝘦. 𝘈 𝘭𝘰𝘵." That's when Wispr Flow started. An AI-powered tool that lets you write at the speed of thought. Unlike basic voice dictation, Wispr Flow understands how we speak vs. how we write. Bridging the gap between messy thoughts and structured output. It worked. Users loved it. I love it. And now, Wispr Flow is scaling fast. 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 • Rapid Expansion – Launched on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Web in just 6 months • Fundraising – Raised over $26M with investors like NEA and 8VC • Enterprise & Team Plans – Privacy-first features (SOC 2 compliance, zero data retention) • Product-Led Growth – Inspired by Slack, Notion, and Loom’s viral adoption 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 • Start before you feel ready. He built his first AI product at 10, and never stopped since. • Failure isn’t the end Google shutting him down didn’t stop him. • Great products are built on iteration. Wispr Flow took 8 versions before landing on the right one. • The best companies don’t just create, they redefine habits. Wispr Flow isn’t just dictation. It’s changing how people write. #startups #venturecapital #founders
