Extensive real-world performance data from a 400,000-mile study of U.S. and Canadian water mains shows PVC achieving the lowest break rates among all materials evaluated—including asbestos, cast iron, ductile iron, and steel—even in environments where 75% of utilities reported corrosive soils.
