About us
The Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center, established in 1972, is the oldest of the 15 community health centers in the state and the largest employer on the Waiʻanae coast. WCCHC employs 700+ staff that work throughout its main center in Waiʻanae, satellite clinics in Nānākuli, Waiʻanae, Kapolei, Waipahu and Ewa, a school-based dental clinic and six school-based primary care clinics in Waiʻanae and Nānākuli, and other business and program sites throughout the Waiʻanae Coast/West Oʻahu. The Health Center’s mission just begins to tell our story: "The Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center is a healing center that provides accessible and affordable medical and traditional healing services with aloha. The Health Center is a learning center that offers health career training to ensure a better future for our community. Last week, we celebrated National Nurse Practitioner (NP) Week, and our very own Miki Miura, DNP, APRN, FNP-C— Nurse Practitioner at our Waipahu Family Health Center located at the Filipino Community Center, and Hawai‘i State Liaison for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners — represented both organizations with grace at the State Capitol. Miki joined Governor Josh Green for the signing of the 2025 National Nurse Practitioner Week Proclamation, recognizing the essential role NPs play across Hawai‘i. Her leadership continues to elevate the visibility and impact of Nurse Practitioners throughout our islands. National Nurse Practitioner Week honors the advanced care, clinical expertise, and unwavering commitment NPs bring to our communities every day. WCCHC is proud of our NP providers and the compassionate, comprehensive care they provide for families for West O‘ahu. On Saturday, September 6, 2025, Waiʻanae Coast Comprehensive Health Center (WCCHC) proudly hosted the 31st Annual Day of Caring, continuing a tradition of community partnership and service that began in 1993. Each year, volunteers from Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company (HDCC)—joined by their families, friends, and WCCHC staff—lend their time and expertise to care for our campus. Their dedication keeps our facilities safe, welcoming, and ready to serve the community. This year’s project focused on resurfacing a portion of WCCHC’s Main Campus parking lot, bringing together dozens of volunteers who worked side by side in the spirit of aloha and teamwork that defines this long-running partnership. We extend our mahalo to everyone who participated and to HDCC for more than three decades of support, service, and commitment to our mission.
