    A rainy Thursday afternoon didn't stop NYC marketing leaders from gathering at Spring Place for our most recent CMO Think Tank with Daversa, moderated by the inimitable Jonathan Metrick. Conversations differed big time from our last London CMO Think Tank just a few months ago - a testament to how quickly things evolve for the marketing org. Here are two key takeaways from the day: 1/ There's a gap between efficiency and growth. Most organizations are successfully deploying AI for cost savings and operational improvements, but struggle to translate that foundation into meaningful revenue impact. 2/ The profile of high-performing marketers is evolving. CMOs are prioritizing adaptability, curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity. And of course, an eagerness to embrace AI beyond just chat interfaces. Building teams that can pivot without losing momentum is the name of the game heading into 2026. And afternoons like this remind us that having a community of peers navigating the same challenges can get you there faster.
