You'd never buy a used car without regular service history, right? Same thing should apply to electric cars. Buying an electric car without knowing anything about the battery may be a very bad decision. Miles don't tell the whole story. Age don't tell the whole story. Actually, we found out that there is a huge variance in battery condition, independent from miles and age. That's why getting the battery inspected with Voltest is a game changer. It's quick, just 2 two minutes. It's easy, no training required. It's accurate: we've helped our customers spot 10s of cars with failed batteries already.

Most EV buyers ask the same questions: - Will the battery last? - How far can I really drive? - Where and how do I charge? First-time EV buyers need reassurance. Dealerships should educate and inform these buyers, and in return, they close more deals. This is exactly what Hanna Imports does thanks to Voltest. Clear answers = confident buyers. #usedcars cars #EV #dealership

EV buyers ask a lot of questions, and confidence matters. After almost a year using Voltest, Hanna Imports made battery transparency part of their process, their website, and their sales conversations. Better answers → less anxiety → more deals. #EV #dealership #usedcars

The tax credit helped certain EVs sell much more easily than others. Older Hyundais, Nissan Leafs, Vinfasts. These were the "Tax credit Darlings" we refer to in this interview. When the tax credit ended, demand normalized. Models that were more incentive-driven than others, stopped being of interest. For both buyers, but also for dealers. While cars with strong organic demand, like Teslas, and many other brands continued to sell well. The market didn’t disappear. It just rebalanced. And dealers like Hanna Imports are capitalizing on this and going strong on EVs even after the Tax Credit. #EV #Dealerships #Usedcars

What happened to EV demand after the tax credit ended? The "tax-credit buyer" disappeared, and demand dropped for specific electric vehicles (more details in tomorrow's video). But not all EVs lost value. And not all buyers disappeared. Certain vehicles are selling stronger than ever, and demand stays high. Dealers like Hanna Imports, who adjusted inventory quickly to this shift are still selling EVs successfully across multiple price ranges. The market changed, it didn’t collapse. And there's plenty of opportunity for both buyers and dealers. #EV #usedcars #dealership

From dabbling in EVs in 2016 to having 50% of inventory electric. ⚡ Hanna Imports saw the shift early, learned the product and leaned into EVs before most dealerships did. This is what adapting early looks like and paved their way to success. They've been one of Voltest early adopters, and they're leveraging all the tools to: - Boost confidence in sales - Increase margins on EVs - Turn EV skeptics into happy customers Listen to the first part of our video interview with Chris Selfani, GM at Hanna Imports. #dealership #EV #usedcars

A question we hear from leads all the time at Voltest, is: “Is Voltest compatible with THIS car?” Especially when it comes to plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). The answer is yes! ⚡ Today, we tested a Škoda Kodiaq Plug-in Hybrid, fully compatible, full battery report in minutes. And it doesn’t stop there. Voltest supports plug-in hybrids from Audi, BMW, Kia, Hyundai, and many more. At this point, we’re compatible with most PHEVs on the market and we cover 95% of the used EV market! Behind the scenes, our engineering team is continuously testing new models and expanding coverage, so whether it’s a full EV or a plug-in hybrid, chances are Voltest has you covered. If you’re unsure about your model, there’s a good chance we’ve already tested it and you can get a Voltest report for it. Dealers, we got you covered. 😎 If you want to sell EVs (and plug in hybrids) quicker, at higher margins, shoot Davide Giacobbe or myself a message!

Why can two Tesla Model Ys with 100k+ miles be worth thousands apart? The chart below displays results from 10 Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD tested with Voltest. Real customer cars from dealerships across our network. Battery health ranges from 79% to 85%, with an average of 117,000 miles. Of course, the first question that comes to mind is: are these results good or bad? Before answering this, let's take a step back and provide some context. First of all, these vehicles were driven 29,000+ miles per year, more than double the national average. Second, Tesla's warranty guarantees 70% retention at 8 years or 120,000 miles. And these vehicles are approaching that mileage threshold while staying well above the warranty floor. With this info and Voltest data available, the real question our dealer customers are able to answer is: "Did I buy it right, price it right, and match it to the right buyer?" Yes, because without battery health data, you're making financial decisions blind: • Trade-in offers: Are you low-balling a car with 85% state of health? Or overpaying for one at 79%? • Auction purchases: How do you know if that $28k Model Y is a deal or a liability? • Customer objections: When a buyer asks "How's the battery?" can you answer with data, or are you guessing? Battery health = residual value visibility. A Model Y at 85% health vs. 79% health justifies a price difference. Without this data, the risk is leaving money on the table or sitting on depreciating inventory. What's your take on these results?

How are top dealerships like Hanna Imports selling used EVs faster? With one-click battery transparency. Thanks to the Voltest VDP (Vehicle Description Page) integration, Hanna Imports makes all the info customers need on used EVs available in one click. This is a further enhancement on top of what our customers already get with our standard battery report. Hanna's website visitors can now see for every specific electric vehicle: • What's the actual battery health? • What's the actual range? • How much will they save vs a gas car? • What's the residual battery warranty? • What are the AC vs DC charging times? Dealers working with us are already experiencing: More informed customers → Fewer objections → Faster sales cycles Curious to learn more? Standard Range Tesla Model 3s are not all the same. Look at this comparison of 10 test results our customers did on Tesla Model 3 Standard Range NCA against 10 LFP ones. All vehicles have 100k+ miles. Real customer cars, real-world usage patterns. The NCA vehicles are mostly 2018-2020 models, showing battery health between 71% and 83%. The LFP vehicles (2022 models) are showing battery health between 89% and 93%. The NCA vehicles in this sample are indeed slightly older on average, which does play a role in degradation. But age alone doesn't explain such a big gap. LFP chemistry is clearly holding up better under these conditions. If you're a dealer, you might have already understood that you will inevitably have to deal with used EVs. And being able to lead with clarity using this data will allow for: • Accurate residual value estimation: avoid overpaying for a more degraded NCA car or undervaluing an LFP one •Customer confidence: being able to explain battery health differences based on chemistry type increases trust • Right car, right buyer: know the chemistry and degradation patterns, match the right car to the right buyer based on their actual range needs Imagine not having this data when evaluating a used Model 3 Standard Range. Seems crazy, right? Acting without this data is like comparing apples to oranges. And it means leaving on the table the opportunity to sell those cars that show great battery health with Voltest Protect, the lifetime battery extended warranty we provide. Were you expecting these results? -- P.S. If you want to check the article InsideEVs published about this data, check the link in the comments!
