Excellence in HIV care

About us

For more than 30 years, the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Saint Louis Effort for AIDS, Rocky Mountain CARES and AIDS Services of Austin have been leaders in the fight against HIV. We are excited to now be Vivent Health, a name that better reflects our leading role in helping people and communities thrive. Our new name moves beyond the geographic-based names of the past and outdated models of care to a modern and inclusive name that recognizes the nationally-renowned treatment we provide to people living with HIV. While we are changing our name, our core values will never change and our commitment to being a relentless provider of HIV care and treatment will always be the same. Vivent Health is committed to meeting the evolving needs of our patients, clients and the HIV epidemic.

  • Healthcare funding cuts do not exist in a vacuum and their disastrous effects do not only impact a few people. It's not just folks on Medicaid and Medicare who need to worry about government guts. Taking money from Healthcare hurts every single one of us. Join us as we rally together to demand equitable access to health and medical care for ALL. From June 1 to June 7, local organizations and advocates from across the country will demand that local, state, and federal representatives clearly articulate how they will: - Improve affordability and access to care and treatment. - Sustain and strengthen biomedical research. - Protect and modernize domestic and global public health infrastructure. - Provide stability for seniors, veterans, rural communities, people with disabilities, working families and others reliant on accessible, affordable healthcare. At our Candlelight Vigils, we will mourn those for whom our demands come too late. At Town Halls across the country, we will come together to discuss advocacy, access, and fairness and make our plans on how to continue the fight for Healthcare for All. Find more information on these and other Seven Days in June events around the country at sevendaysinjune.org The people united will never be defeated. ❤️

Last week, Milwaukee County held their annual “Into the Streets” week of volunteerism along with a food and hygiene drive. This year, Vivent Health is the recipient of the many, wonderful items collected during the drive! These items, including everything from menstrual products to emergency blankets to everyday snacks, will be available to the patrons of our food pantry. Yesterday, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and Milwaukee Country Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer Daniel Terrio, M.S. came to deliver everything to the food pantry at our Milwaukee clinic. Thank you so much to Milwaukee County employees for your generous donations! These donations stay right here at home, positively impacting the lives of many Milwaukee residents and Vivent Health clients.

  • For 40 years, Vivent Health and the legacy of the St. Louis Effort for AIDS have stood alongside people living with and impacted by HIV, providing care, prevention, dignity, and hope. Our anniversary event was a celebration of that history, but even more importantly, it was an investment in the future of this work. Because of our supporters and donors, people in our community can access life-saving care and prevention, a range of vital social services, and compassionate providers who remove barriers. At a time when funding uncertainty continues to impact HIV services across Missouri, your support matters more than ever. Thank you.

  • We could not be more grateful for the incredible outpouring of support we received at our 2026 Dining Out for Life event in Chicago! Knowing our local communities are so invested in our mission and so willing to give to HIV care and prevention means the world. Thank you to all our participating restaurants, bars, volunteers, staff, and, of course, Queens who made this all possible. We can't wait to dine out with you again next year!

  • For #volunteerappreciationweek, we recently celebrated the years of dedication and compassion of our Austin volunteers - including one volunteer who has been with us since 1997! At Vivent Health, our volunteers are like family and we celebrate their commitment to our mission. Huge shoutout to our friends at Parker and Scott for hosting us at your store and for donating a portion of your sales to us.

  • One message. A dozen voices. One big thank you. 💛 This Volunteer Appreciation Week, our staff and community members wanted to say something directly to the people who show up for us week after week, year after year. If you've ever volunteered with Vivent Health, this video is for you. We see you, we appreciate you. And we are so grateful you're part of our family. #VolunteerAppreciationWeek #ViventHealth #ThankYouVolunteers #CommunityFirst
