Here's Visily's informal, 5(ish) step process to making product improvements. I say "informal" and "5(ish)" because we aren't beholden to a process: Sometimes it's obvious we should do something, so we do it; other times, we're more deliberate with beta testing, QAing, etc. But, generally speaking, we fall back into the same 5-step process (give or take a step). Here's the thing though: the steps themselves (listed below) are neither novel nor exciting. What makes them effective is *how* we do them... I've included these details in my post (link in the comments), including the specific tools we use at each phase (special thanks to the teams at Mixpanel and Canny—both tools featured prominently in our workflow—for their help with/feedback on this piece)! --- The steps: 1. I constantly find good UI/UX experiences I want to save, share, and riff on with our team but never had a good workflow. That's changed the last few weeks. Our team made some small but mighty updates to our extension that have completely changed my process. Here's what I do (as illustrated in the vid below) 1. Stumble upon an interesting screen or flow I want to revisit. This could be within an app I'm using or even a blog like the one in the video 2. Capture either the whole screen or a specific element or area with the Visily extension 3. Import them to my inspo board in Visily (often first as images but sometimes I convert straight to wireframes) 4. For the ones I want to experiment with, I convert them to editable wireframes and then make whatever edits I want, either with AI or our simple canvas tools The best part of this is that our entire team can contribute to this board, so it's easy for us to collect, annotate, edit, and ultimately prototype right in the board. #productmanagement #ux
